That must have been terrifying for you, but you need to ask your guardian angel to come forward and protect you every night, and there are many ways to clear your house of negative entities such as burn real Frankincense, Muir and Sage, or ask a priest if he can burn Sage or Frankincense or Myrrh allover your house, also leave bottles of clear water in your bedroom over night. But also ask your guardian angel to protect you every night.
Since you're discussing faith/occult type remedies to the situation, there's an old Hexerei legend around here that placing a closed bottle of water under your bed will thwart these evil spirits. Not sure I subscribe to it personally, but I believe placebo effect can be a powerful thing, and if these apparitions are really all in our minds, then believing it will work can in turn make it so.

I've went through it a coule of times years ago. I would just fight until I could move again. It's a scary feeling. I'd try to open my eyes, but couldn't open them. Try to speak but couldn't, try to kick my legs but just felt paralyzed, couldn't move around at all. but I would just keep fighting in my bed until i could move my body and get up.
I know this might be a slightly different topic but I noticed that several of my earliest nocturnal emissions (wet dreams) had a definite sleep paralysis aspect. They were no where near as scary or intense as my childhood nightmare type, but in these dreams I would usually get the sensation that I had to urinate or was possibly already urinating for a while in small drips. I realized I was in bed and so thought I was bedwetting, and felt immediately stuck to the bed, unable to move or wake up.
Until after I had finished urinating in the dream. When I woke up I realized it was not urine.
When I read about wet dreams and sleep paralysis I realized they both had in common an old explanation that a succubus was the cause of sleep paralysis (by sitting on your chest) and wet dreams (by having sex with you). Now this did not happen in my dream, but I wonder if the paralysis feeling is what made people blame the same thing, and if anyone else experienced this.

Happen to me before I came to Christ, has not happened ever again.
It happened twice actually, both times I felt an evil presence come upon me just b4 it happened. The second time when I came free of it, i thought i woke up, but i wasnt awake, i looked out the window and it was BLACK!, not dark black, a black I can only describe as supernatrual, then I fell into my couch and into blackness i thought i was going to hell, then i woke up during the fall, a few months later I met Jesus Christ.
To think you could just think or say something in your dream to make a bunch of aliens and their spaceship all vanish and leave you comfy in your bed is silly. Again, demons are harder to disprove, but honestly why would they run in fear if you say "Jesus" - because think about it, out of all the other "evil" things that happen in the world, like a plane crash or bombing, why doesn't saying "Jesus" save you then? Is Jesus' lame "excuse" that he was busy saving people from their nightmares?
Perhaps you should take your case up to God and teach him how to run the world. lm a witness that living for Jesus and this happening to you that you can call on Jesus and they have to leave. Its happen to me before and they have to flee. They can appear in different forms not necessarily alien shape or whatever. They are appear as aliens to those who believe in them. There is no proof that it is alien abduction. Easy way to test it is to be in a laboratory when it happens or just have someone watch you. They can tell you there was no alien while you were sleeping. True, demon's would be "invisible" I guess, so harder to disprove, but I don't believe in them anyway. It is a leap to think something supernatural is the reason when natural explanations work. Just having things to do to overcome them disproves supernatural explanations.

this is called in the bible a walking dream . and the reason for the paralysis is because you are trying to move your physical body when you are in a spiritual state. I have these all the time and do much spiritual warefare however the power is not in the physical body but in the name of Jesus (Yeshua) When you pray in this relm you will have power to really mess up those evil forces but you have to realize u are there. And you need to be bornagain , Without the armor of God ur opn 2 attck.

i have had this ONE TIME.
it was not a dream.
it was diabolically induced.
you are bound and constricted, all of your muscles contract. it was more difficult to breathe and speak...i just said Jesus...Jesus..and it went away.
it's like satan grabbing you and trying to crush you.
this is clearly a demonic event.
