@Kitemasterify Only if you really really want to play online. The additional content is somewhat worthwhile, but unless you're a die-hard fan this version is more for people who a) want to play online b) didn't get the first game

I did play 100 online match n didnt complete arcade mode with all character... To unluck akuma fag i just play arcade mode normal and i didnt lose any round, i make 3 perfect 4 ultra and around 2 or 3 super... Yea i unluck that fagget.... Lol

Illegal distribution of pirated programs is simply an unfortunate side-effect of this freedom and sadly it's the developers, not companies like Apple that are hurt in the process.

I think I know how to unlock akuma I used Ken and played thorogh arcade mode normal and after I defeated bison I got a. Extra stage and u can fight Akuma but I haven't defeated him though..

@BisonFTW I've heard this argument far too much and quite frankly it bothers me. Aside from the fact that this is nothing new for CAPCOM (re: SFIV having 3 versions already and their arcade history), the implementation of multiplayer along with all that comes with it, including four additional characters and new game modes (albeit based on console version modes) is far from trivial. It's hard to blame them for charging for the update and at worst if you own the original you can just pass on it!

It is a great game indeed. However I got frustrated with it after not being able to win more than 3 matches. I cant figure out how to play this correctly. But nonetheless, it's a great game and as always, a great review.

I bought this because I never had bought any versions of Street Fighter 4, but I found myself incredibly disappointed that the only character I had any interest in playing as (El Fuerte) wasn't available in this version. I'm gonna guess the odds of added character updates are slim?

Appspy seems to forget about the online play penalty absence since a lot of players seems to save their losses by quitting the match whenever they lose against a player; which serve another big issue to this game.

How do we turn off "automatic specials" (by tapping the blue bar and/or the red circle at the top when they become full) during matches? I'm not a serious SF player (as hinted by the fact that I don't even know what the blue bar and the red circle are called), but even I feel like *cheating* when using those. I've played this game with a friend in the same room and he always uses those and then "brags" when he beats me. I want to turn them off so we can see who's the better player. ;)

Bought it. Got 10 seconds into the first fight and got interrupted by someone I've don't know or care about 'challenging' me. Quit. Tried again. Repeat about 15 times. Deleted. Complete waste of my money. Thanks Capcom.

@DJSuicidalTendencies Mate you can turn it off with gamecenter option at the top center when you enter solo mode. Turn off accept challenge and you're set to go!!

From what I know there's two ways to unlock him - either complete the arcade mode with all characters or participate in 100 matches; I didn't have the time to try the first method and I didn't quite reach 100 with the other ;)

This is my experience on this game.

1. Go arcade mode

2. A new challenger has entered the ring!

3. Pick character... blah blah blah

4. See that the opponent stats has many wins and 0 loses

5. Disconnect and repeat until you find a normal player

Their right, people do rage quit disconnecting themselves easily to avoid an increase of losses; its pretty dissapointing how its a gamble wether your going to be matched vs a player with good connection or a bad one. I think the worst part is how unresponsive the controls get during a bad connection, but overall the game is still very entertaining, always encouraging players to come back for more.

This game is ridiculously fun, but online is definitely flawed.

80% of the time if you win during a ranked match, people will quit, stripping you of the win. Capcom needs to implement some sort of punishment system or a way to track when somebody quits (multiple times).

@3greviews Here's the thing though, it evens out as far as matching goes if you enable 'equal' matchmaking in the settings. As long as you're not quitting as well at worst you'll start being matched against others refusing to exploit this mechanic - yes some may be bad at the game, but you'll get your wins (and so will other players), bringing the system to normalcy. The derps quitting will eventually only get matched against each other, so they can circle jerk all day long ;)

@AppSpy Agreed. The first 10-20 matches were HORRIBLE though. Seriously, most of them dropped out. This makes it harder to progress up the ladder, cause your wins don't even count. (I've noticed if you don't beat them up too bad, they're more likely to stay cause they want to rematch you...haha). Also, the ones quitting aren't unskilled (most of the time), so they'll just be racking in the wins, meaning they'll be able to progress up the ladder as well. Therefore, I want capcom to do something.

@3greviews Maybe it's just me, but I'm only in it for the challenge and the fun. Ladders in many games are always inherently flawed - great players are still going to rise to the top, but so will 'bad' players as well. But my point is, if they're only getting wins, they'll only be paired against others doing the same thing - what goes around comes around ;)

@AppSpy Yup, in general me too. I stick to the "friendly" matches because it has close to no rage quitters. I'm not so much the one that's frustrated, but I can definitely see why people will be mad at this system. Still a great game, although I'd like some more stability / fluid movement of characters.
