I think it's a more peaceful setting for the kids when the camera is rolling. Everyone is more calm and happier. The bad thing is, now that the cameras have stopped rolling, what's life going to be like for them? I know that the world won't let them starve to death or something but the affects that the situation has on them will be unavoidable. And the parents won't have that "concience" there to remind them how to act.

Where does anyone find the self-entitlement to judge these people for choosing to live lavishly, over struggling with 8 kids? Who's to say that all of our parents have a dark and a light side? Had you been in this position, would you have rejected a television show, yes they have changed so much, but those kids are happy because you can see it in all their little smiles. So until it gets out that Kate is mistreating them to the point that it needs to be said, there is no problem here

I had a mother that was just like Kate. When people were around she was the best mother; when no one was around she was the worst. My point is that you cannot always believe what you see.

What is life like for these children when the cameras stop. Only they know.

they were really excited to do the job!!! upon telling the chore, they immediately ran and got the juice bottles!!! that's really cute...and kate can really count on cara to help her... she asked cara if there really was no paper towels left... even doing their little jobs, mady still is cranky to her siblings...

Why are the juice bottles and paper towels' labels blurred out? Does that mean Jon and Kate and TLC won't get more money for doing a promo for these companies? LOL Why couldn't Kate walk the short distance to retrieve the juice? Was she EXHAUSTED? Just wondering.
