I'm sure a lot of hardwork and time went into producing this video....but I missed most of it because I had my eyes closed some where between sleep and hypnosis.
@jrizos Same here man. Such a nice bittersweet melancholic melody but still gets you uplifted somehow. Nusrat was a genius and Gaudi has done a great job.
I love this song. Everyone needs a bit of cheese in their life. I love this mix of Indian vocals/ sounds and dub/reggae. Gaudi's got some nice tunes man...
this is one of the most beautiful songs i've heard in my life. i feel honored to feel the way i feel when listening to this song. it's so spiritual on a cellular level that i wish everyone could experience what i feel. if there is a heaven, this is it. 'it was amazing to see 'gaudi' live in seattle 10/14/10 with 'phutureprimitive'.
your right in a way, its hard to understand. but on the other hand its completely understandable. The clever fools always have to try and overlay their poo, but it never really works you just listen to the song and laugh whilst your present in the heart. The clever fools are lost in there mind thinking of backward remarks and at the same time turn their backs on eternity. Never mind there is plenty of time to appreciate the sublime and plenty of time to loose yourself in the critical mind.
most of the pakistani classical music is behind sufi saints and mystical poetry. Some of the latest pakistani classic is now turning into pop culture also. Stream coke studio on youtube you might hear more new stuff.

Dub Qawwali is the best album Ive heard this year. Dont know how I missed it in 2007. Many of the images in this video are from the films Koyaanisqatsi and Powaqqatsi by Godfrey Reggio, Ron Fricke & Philip Glass. Incredible films.
@pedritosearthlink : That's funny....Gaudi is an italian music producer from Bologna..... - (although I think that the Spanish architect Gaudi is truly astounding too!)
nusrat is a light from the east, who continually surpassed all odds, he made new ground when shone out in the west. wish i saw him when he came to vancouver. master of vocals, pure love exceeds all boundaries. it's all spiritual.
It is hard to understand how people can get angry about music (see posts below...) Music is a universal language. Blending jamaican dub with beautiful pakistani songs makes me very happy. Bridging the gap between cultures is what the world requires.
@hinduff No doubt! The angry ones waste so much energy being miserable. Life is too short and yes we should all celebrate diversity, it's what makes this world what it is. How boring would it be if we were al the same. :) I love learning about different people and different cultures! Cheers!

Westerners continue to ruin brilliant Pakistani music. Why not release the originals and do us all a favour rather than producing such junk. Shame on Gaudi for disgracing a legends name just to make more money.
ManSharabi, Maybe Gaudi wants to share the beauty of brilliant Pakistani music with the rest of the world.....why are you being a hater? Maybe you should do some soul searching and figure out what is really bothering you. Peace.

If he wanted to share the beauty of brilliant Pakistani music then why not simply release the originals? This is just merely trash. Its a shame that this is allowed.
exactly. i know nothing about music, that's the point of my comment. you r the checker!
my suggention to you: better listen to the music instead of posting hatred against western. but i don't think that this will fit in your nut sized brain!
I've listened to it and formed a judgement based on that. Sorry if its displeasing to your. I guess your not intellectually capable of appreciating the opinions of others, as shown by your infantile language and use of punctuation.
no i'm intellectually not capable for such bullshit like you r talking my friend. do a favor to the humankind and kill yourself. such a dumb person judging like this should not live.
btw, this is a remix, did you read the text to the right? i guess not. and you don't know what a remix is.

Technically: Bethe means to sit but in this context it symbolizes a state of rest or pre-catastrophe
kese means : what..
