Scott is supposed to be kind of clueless - y'know to the extent that just after ordering stuff from Amazon (with Wallace's credit card, naturally) he sits in front of the door waiting for the package to arrive.

Michael Cera comes off as too intelligent and self-aware to be Scott. Now, I don't think he'll ruin the movie, but he won't be the Scott Pilgrim from the comics...

From what I understand, the filmmakers consider it an 'interpretation' of the comics and not an 'adaptation'...

I can't wait for this. I've 'read' all the books (to date) and loved them all. Whats more, I've heard that this wont ruin the last book which is always a plus for the readers. Anyway, I don't get what you all mean because I think Michael Cera fits this role perfectly, especially after seeing him in 'Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist'. From what I see in this trailer the fighting has been done immensely and true to the Scott Pilgrim style. Looks amazing.
