Nobody gave her any gift. She did it herself and there was no reason to remain faithful to some "lord". She was raised in a twisted religion and at least she managed to deal with it enough to bring her music to people. It's far more important to be faithful to yourself than to try to please some lord or follow rules you don't really agree with. I thank the universe every day that I was smart enough to leave the catholic church and be gay and happy. As Soeur Sourire did.
