If you were to try driving in any Islamic country with one of those on the back of your car, you'd be pulled over and arrested for insinuating that Islam is not any better or worse than Judaism or Christianity. The hakenkreuz (loosely translated as bent cross) that the Nazi's used, wrongly calling swastika, was as much a perversion of the meaning of that symbol as anything else the Nazi's did, and the GOP is doing, with their perversion of Christianity. If someone wanted to show it, as it was originally, as protection, I'd be fine with it.
