When I go camping with my friends, we have to ensure that ALL of our stuff is securely tied down. Those pesky racoons (they have hair too) will get into ANYTHING you leave out. They're intelligent, curious, and hungry. Could this camera be an example of this?
That was pretty interesting. If they are real, I bet they know what your up to and are smart enough to acctually torment you by playing with the cameras
Yes, setup another camera. I can't tell if perhaps an animal such as a deer knocked the camera over or the camera just fell over on it's own. Don't know where you are at but just down the road from me there's a famous Bigfoot legend/sighting. Also if it's in your budget I'd go with cameras with night-vision, inferred or both. If the beast was interested in the camera surely he will be again and this time you might get lucky. Anyway, good luck!
The camera was tucked into it's cable reel so that it would not fall over, when it was picked up, it was out of the reel, and then when it was set back down, it was set down outside the reel itself. Another member of our team recovered the camera and thought it had just fallen over. Nothing else was thought about it until we seen the video. In the better quality, you can see what looks like hair in front of the camera (at a short distance)in several instances.
Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to be judgmental. Say if you were to really catch something? Who would believe you? Trust me, I was a member of a paranormal research team and we got stuff that would blow your mind but not having an independent, non-biased third party really hurt us. We even had a Government official, off record confirm our findings. And he even stated "If the average citizen knew what we know, they wouldn't sleep at night." Anyway, I wish you and your team the best of luck.
TheBean has a good point, These creature knew it was picking up something man made it's just luck on it's part that it didn't look on the lense or maybe tried to stay out of the light from the IR illuminator (It looked like a NV camera, but if not all the same) Where is this location if you don't mind?
Has anyone ever noticed that if someone gets a small clip of what might be a Big Foot, but the subject always turns away as soon as the camera is whipped out? They are not dumb that know what we are and what the things with the little red light are. They are probally taught to stay away from them. But, this one wanted to see one up close just to say he did.
This was in a bigfoot hotspot that we were researching, this field about 3 years ago had a huge number of bigfoot spotted in it by 6 different witnesses.
I've got an idea... i think so anyway. Have 4 cameras all in a sqaure shape looking towards the middle of the sqaure in the same area (make sure all the cameras are in veiw by at least one of the other cameras.. so if this were to happen again you would see it!
We are heading back out Memorial Day weekend, and will have sound enabled on two of the cameras, possibly three if we can get enough equipment to do it.

Interesting but inconclusive w/o sound or a visual. Could've been a curious varmint.

That last post was actually longer but had to edit because you are only allowed to post 500 characters or less.

Hey Chevy,

Tiamat, this location is in Oklahoma, I can't say much more than that as the landowner wishes to keep it quiet about where this is happening.

What a catch. It's a shame that it didn't point the camera towards it's face, it doesn't matter. It was curious enough to pick it up.

Maybe you should put a mic on it next time then if that happens again you could at least have some sound.
