Power metal as a genre isn't mainstream. Dragonforce made it big by some fluke, but no other power metal has gotten big enough in the last 20 years for people who aren't normally into metal to know about them. Secondly, anyone who knows anything about power metal knows Falconer, therefore, mainstream. I know they're not like a Lady GaGa or a Linkin Park, but taking into consideration all the bands to exist, they're extremely mainstream. It seems to be that you're defining mainstream as something like top 40 bands only, which is your fatal flaw.

@elumona: If that "someone" means extreme power metal in the sense Dragonforce popularized the term(really fast power metal). Then he's right. Cellador is fast for power metal. However that's not the correct term. Extreme power metal is heavier and not necessarily faster and often includes a melodeath or black metal influence.

I just consider Cellador "Balls to the wall" power metal, they're fast and they pack a punch, but they're not extreme metal and they're much better than Dragonforce.

Duke only has one album out, but it's a masterpiece. It's called Escape from Reality and they're a German Metal band. If you ever have problems finding a metal band try metal-archives. Hands down the best "band-look-up" site.

Meh, dragonforce has pretty good keyboard parts(in my opinion) if you look away from inhuman rampage, the keyboard solo on the end of disciples of babylon or the one about 3/4 through heartbreak armagedon as examples.

Everybody have different music tastes though, so saying "this and that sucks" fails, since somebody else may like it extremely much.
