@jwblais CV shafts are much stronger than Ujoints. It was the bent tie rods that caused the CV's to fail. You cant load up CV's or UJoints with that kind of an angle on them.

Those K series have a joke a front differential. The only differance between a 1/2 ton and 1 ton is 3/4 ton and up have snap ring on the inside the r/h axle shaft (what the CV shaft bolts too). I am not slamming your truck. I have a 90 K3500 dually. Don't mistreat that front diff it will break and break big!!!!!

because the 1 ton is prob. geared to tow, and is built stronger, while the 3/4 ton is set up for a variety of both and not built as strong, take a 1ton pull somthing, then take a 3/4 ton and pull it, and look at the difference!!

99% of the time the differance in a 3/4 ton ansd one ton is the springs and tires its equiped with. They both with have the same options as far as gearing. Both will be on the same frame, axles(exept dually) wheels, engine, tranny, rear axle.
