I have one of these a 2.4sxt v6,gets loads of admiring comments,but !so so build quality,got rust bubbles on bonnet already!(non stone chip caused to)!warrantry is useless,ongoing repair claim for 16 months now and no sign of them dealing with it.will have to foot repair bill myself as its spreading fast! not good! a great looking car tho,shame dodge uk are so crap at dealing with issues,but rust on a new vehicle isnt a good sign anyway you look at it!good stereo,hopeless sat nav.but fab looks!

i have one of these,, sooo dodgey,, gone through a stereo, 2 boot struts and my tip tronic never worked.. the speakers are awsum.. 2 much power 4 the car coz everythiong is rattling n squeeking.. apart from that i love my avenger sxt

15 - 16 million cars are sold a year on the USA every year. How they can not make a profit out of that is a failure of epic proportions. If you turn up in Europe with leafsprings, pushrods and a steel frame on a 6 metre, 2 and a half ton car with 20 mpg today you will be laughed at. If this car isnt offered in europe its because some guy in a suit told them they wouldnt sell 5 of them in a year. ok ?

dodge is pretty good actually. ford, imo, sux unless ur on top of its problems. chevy is okay. my mom was actually choosing between the pacifica and the avenger. we got the avenger. the engine that we have (2.4l I-4) is just fine. its not at all underpowered. and i agree, the avenger has a cheap interior!!! it sux.

I am an Automotive Machinist.I have worked for companies that rebuild 100 engines a day for the past 20 years.(you do the math)After 100000 miles or more i get a good view of all of them.The Chrysler 4 and 6 cylinders engines are far better than the Asian Imports.That includes POS Honda's that lock the Camshaft up in the head because the oil holes are too small.Chryslers are far more refined and run smoother too.

yeah yeah yeah.. once again america produce a car that doesnt excite. Built on a base that 8 other cars have shared over 10 years. Nothing new, nothing desirable. Sure its cheap... in USA. but for us europeans it makes no sense to spend money on it because with taxing it becomes same price as much more sensible or interesting cars. Fact: in England right now they are so desperate to sell them, they are offering 2 for the price of 1. thats right. Buy one, get one free.

Not Fact:That was not a Chrysler Deal and not even a Chrysler dealership.A Vauxhall car lot in England offered at the time the news reported a 2for1 deal on 2 avengers on his car lot.His next deal was with 2 Kia Magentis.The deal was offered because they are desperate to sell anything off the lot (Vauxhalls included )and wanted the Advertising.Norway has the lowest vehicle ownership of Europe because of it's taxes on cars.But those are economic issues, i was talking about the cars.

I really dont know. I just know american cars sell really poorly in Europe and have done so for many many years. Its weird tho that no american will agree their cars are behind european / japanese models. If the US industry had adapted it might look better today. When looking at vids like this every single US car is hailed as the best in the universe. When you sit in one the feeling is cheap quality and sqeeky plastic. Large engine but no effort put into undercarriage or suspension.. in general.

Vinyl or plastic interior panels are found on most cars today unless it's a luxury car.The Above Avenger RT with Performance suspension and AWD is not offered in Europe,the large engines typically aren't offered there either so you could not have sat in one.We don't agree because you are seeing different models and the only thing that puts American cars behind is in mileage.When fuel costs are less bigger more powerful cars become popular and why Euro cars didn't sell well in America.Diff market

This is where it gets nerdy. Im not going into details. American cars fail to sell. There are loads of reasons why they dont make sense to put money into and its been clear and obvious for decades. Build quality, reliability and design / styling. People will talk crap about "imports" all day but the fact is even the most patriotic redneck will put his money into a more sensible Toyota that will last forever and wont break. Unless he wants a huge pickup. USA is the only ones making those.

Please, I own a 97 avenger and the new ones don't look anything like them at all. Avengers were NEVER 4 door. They only came in 2. They looked alot better before, than they do now.
