@BlackBladeInc Biohazard started competing about 7 years before Storm 2 so if anything its the other way round. Besides, just becase a robot uses a similar weapon to another, it doesn't automatically make it a rip off. There are differences in the design such as Biohazard using linear actuators and storm using motors and rods for the arms. Also, every weapon idea has been taken, so inevitably there are going to be similarities.
Actually, the only reason Storm II has the lifting device is becuase of the new 'No static weapons allowed' rule, which was introduced in series 7. They did not have this arm in the new blood championship in Extreme 2, so the lifter wasn't in the origonal design.. If the Storm II team hadn't given their robot the lifting arm, they would have been disqualified.
Hi there everyone, I'm designing a new fighting robot which is going to be a rammer like storm 2 or tornado, and I was wondering if anyone here has any advice/tips/ideas on making a rammer.
@Mrcoolguy96 hard body armor it needs to be hit alot make it hard also go on wiki theres a page on the different classes it gives you the best way to make any type
@Mrcoolguy96 yeh but theres a commity or something like that, that a friend a robotier is in they have tried several times but no tv company seems to want it also it is someone elses copyright too
then again if any tv company are 2 ask its BBC or channel 4 BBC still own all the house robots and had good ratings with robot wars and channel 4 has 100 hours of tv to fill because of big brother
that and it relied on getting the robot probably much higher on the wedge to be effective... not really fast enough for it to happen i'd say. clever design but not entirley effective. i do like trax though
west ham fan there- you know all about descending lmao

I have to commend Trax; like JP said, it did very well at absorbing Storm's blows.

Storm 2: The little black box that could.
I don't understand why the Trax team claimed they used tracks for more grip because their robot slides around like it's on ice skates or something.
Fireworkatheart 2 years ago 10
@Fireworkatheart haha, yeah, it kinda defeats the purpose of tracks when they are made of SMOOTH POLISHED METAL instead of rubber or piked metal :P
SeriousGamer2009 1 year ago
@Fireworkatheart Yea you have a point but you have to admit it looks cool how slides around the arena like it's skating.

@Fireworkatheart well you would be to if you had to fight storm 2

If Trax has no found weaknesses then why didn't it go further?
TheThirdKiller 2 years ago
@TheThirdKiller I think what they meant there was no big weakness or fault like can't self-right things like that or they thought they were great.

i do like trax's flipper but storm II never gave them a chance to use it.

2:33 I think was another West Ham reference.

Trax did really good for a bot with tracks

Sorry but the most sucessfull tracked robot for me was 101.

@otfphotography
most successful yes, but had plenty of flaws whereas Mortis, had brilliant technology for the first 4 wars.

What is trax's weapon?
Mrcoolguy96 3 years ago
Some kind of Pusher thing.
Eddyking5 3 years ago
Forward hinged flipper, main problem was the studs they welded to the tracks raised the front off the ground and they didn't get to use it.
