Kick ass! Im going to put a torque converter on my honda gx200 clone minibike very shortly. Then will come a 10-12HP carburetor to replace the tiny carb on which is only about as big as a true 5HP carburetor. Then will come all kinds of money consuming shit such as new flywheel to prevent grenades, new piston rod for high RPM, and eventually, maybe a better cam shaft.
@amyhuk lol it makes it go faster because it's tied to the Governor. id wrather have the throttle tied up tho. and i blew the back wheels bearings out on this bike. went to fast and im too heavy for it... lol. thanks for the comment man
An 8hp power engines top performance at top speed (not suped up) can acheive 60mph. The prices on a centrifugal clutch for a 1" shaft is realy high compared to a common 3/4" shaft clutch which are as cheap as 30$ but the 1" are like 120$ but if you put a secound shaft behind your engine with your engine turning the secound shaft (3/4") then u can use the cheaper clutch. I took off a 12 cubic inch 6.5 off my Baja warriors minibike and replaced it with a 19.4cubic inch 8hp b&s. Its powerful :)
@SML693 no not yet. im debating on waiting til i get to 240lbs bodyweight n tryn to lose some body fat % then making a vid. but i did bench 415 with about 10lbs assistance like 3 monthes ago. hope i can get 420 by the start of january with lil to none assistance from the spotter.
is that a 1 inch shaft? if so where did you get the clutch? and do you have problems with it trying to pop a wheelie? im thinking of doing the same with my minbike but idk if its going to be too unsafe.
@geracarreon uhh its a 3/4 shaft and i got the clutch for 70 bucks at a go kart racing store i forget wat its calld and u could get 1 at tractor supply for 45 bucks and works just as good. make sure u greese it tho. and it doesnt pop wheelies unless u hammer the throttle goin up hill. i suggest leaning forward a bit in take offs tho lol. i learned my lesson. but it shouldnt pop wheelies if u just put a 5 horse in it. anything above an 8 like mine im sure it will.
@cozzimoto7 uhh i dont kno personally...like the actual speed but i drove next to a friends car and it was 40 about. shit is fast man. lol. fast enough to bust ur mellon wide open on the concrete if ya crash!
