  • I asked you because i am putting a SAITO FA-80 on my new GreatPlanes Cherokee 40 ARF....Do you suggest a 13x6 prop ?

  • @dreamwisperer - You can certainly try it. Your plane may like to fly a little faster than that prop will do so a smaller diameter/higher pitch may work better perhaps a 12 x 6 or 12 x 8. You'll have to experiment!

  • What prop do you use ? The engine sounds powerful....

  • @dreamwisperer 13 x 6 Zinger wooden prop. I tried a 14 x 6 but the Saito 80 really didn't like it and it would bog down when doing vertical maneuvers. I swapped the 80 out for repairs this summer when I went to Rhinebeck and put a Saito 91 and it really flew great. The 80 is back in it for this summer with a new piston, wrist pin and connecting rod. The 80 is just enough for "scale" like flying in this airframe.

  • Nice job!

I'm covering the wing on mine right now and hope to have it flying within a couple on months. BUSA kits are so nice!

  • Beautiful day, beautiful airplane, beautiful engine! I love Saito 4-strokes, have the .80 myself.

  • nice !

perfect day to fly with puffs of clouds on the background

looks like a real plane with a trail of smoke 5*s
