I do not mean to hurt the pride of o VN people, We can say anything we want,even though doing it is not easy ( "Easy said than done"). I never hear anybody ( not Vietnamese) say the real color of the Vietnamese yellow skin is gold. This is what I usually hear:" You say junk,I say gold".

Be proud of who you are regardless of what other think as you came to this world the same way everyone else did, that is the point of the song. And you need to study history a bit more closely, the term yellow is a degatory term when refer to Asian people. Oh, after writing all of that, I don't think you realized that gold is also a color, it is the equivalent of yellow :)
