@Yuanyuanyuanyin, Naliniji passed away peacefully at her residence of over 60 years at Union Park, Chembur, Mumbai on the afternoon of Monday, 20th December, 2010 and not 21st December to 24th December, as wrongly reported in some media

After the demise of her husband Prabhu Dayal, few years back, she had become a virtual recluse, interacting with virtually no one in the film industry and just 2 people in her neighbourhood

She remained stunningly beautiful even at the age of 80+.

The biggest tribute had been paid by thespian Dilip Kumar when he said something to the effect that Nalini was the most accomplished actress he has worked with as she so easily understood the essence of the scene in no time. Nutan and Tanuja's aunt, she was chosen as the most photogenic face by Filmfare photographers in 1950. Her other two films with Dev Anand were 'Rahi' and 'Kala Pani'. The last named turned out to be her last hit film, in which she won the Best Supporting Actress award.

a befitting tribute to a famous actress ,who sadly passed away in loneliness . its sad yuan when i hear that the twilight years of a person are spent as a recluse and the end comes with loneliness . may her soul rest in peace .
