what is the problem with formaldehyde? It can cause hair loss?

@Spanguolle yeah, I've done a lot of research and found that this chemical is cancerous. Even though Keratin is a natural chemical, it is mixed in with formaldehyde to stay intact to the hair. Doctors say that 2% formaldehyde can't cause cancer. I am sure this treatment has a lot more than just 2% of formaldehyde.

why on earth would anyone want to take the body out of their hair for extremely straight, flat and dull hair? i would never do this.

it costs like 100-200 if they have it on special but go to a good salon i went to one that had a special its softer but its not straighter the first day it was then it wasn't my moms hair stayed the same and curly

i had it done, it doesnt stay in all that long if your the type of person who showers daily. mine started to go back to normally slowly after probally 2 months it slowly started to go back :( it does make your hair feel so nice though and it really leaves a pretty natural wave after you wash it

@Elieandria ..only Brazilian keratin treatments have formaldehyde...thats why you should only look for Keratin treatments minus the Brazilian title. the problem is widely known...and can be avoided..

i have really curly hair.... if i get the coppola done, will my hair become wavy or absolutely straight????

@hjanie96 depends how curly you mean if its afro curl it wont be completly straight sometimes with even curly hair right near the root area will have a bit of bend to hair like kink other than that should go smooth and straight, but you would have to get consult with your stylist to know exactly :)
