it's funny my wife just left me to be with one of our close friends and everytime i hear this song, i think of our time together. she knew every secret about me and i every secret about her. and even though i want her back and shes knows it i know it is completely against the odds this will ever happen. i love you tiffany forever.

@nik0la007 Very True. I lost my Father not to long ago, even though he was against all the odds and failed to recover. I know in my heart that its not Against All Odds that I will see him again, because hes in a place no with no more good byes and thats where I will meet him.

It means no matter what the odds are, whether thay are good or bad we have to face them head on and move on. In the song he makes the statement take a look @ me now. He made it through and now hes stronger, so he is making a comparison between now and then.

@THUNDERBONE666 erm, sorry but have to disagree. What "Take a look at me now" in the context of this song means that there is nothing left of him now that his love has gone (..."there's just an empty space"), and all he can do is hope that she returns - but it's a long shot (...Against All Odds). He's not stronger at all ("I wish that I could make you could turn around and see me cry")...if you can see a different message in the song then fair enough, but it's pretty clear it's a sad love song.

An old friend? She was 19! Probably did her a favour anyway, most women grow up to be whores with a sperm count higher than an NFL team, just a shame you weren't next to her at the time. He's been gone for awhile now and nothings the same, just found out I have a brain tumor about a week ago. The pain sucks!! The true love of my life recently walked away from me, and I have taken a harder look at who I really showed her I was, and made the strongest changes and taken the most difficult and, at times, confusing steps of my life to change for her. Three months ago she was further than gone, now we are closer than ever.
