  • im gonna call this internet bullcrap. that is amazing

  • asians...nuff said

  • Completely out of tune...

  • Wheres the passion?

  • holy crap

  • WTF O.O

  • at the the end when they were leaving it looked some old as pedophile kidnapping a little girl LOL

  • This girl...

    she's just...

    but she's....

    I will kill myself tonight.

  • Big talent and passion or a combination of this with marginally tolerated oppression for the soul of a child? I don't know... Just hope she turns out to be a good human when she grows up, and not a terribly repressed person. Because learning the violin from 3 years old it's not something you choose its your godamn parents' desire.

  • Big talent and quite exciting technically but the style and use of rubato is way over done, way too many 'special' moments.

  • She's cute. :)

  • The professor seems to be more nervous than Mindy.

  • talk about violin prodigies these days... ^___^

  • PERLMAN CAN ONLY PLAY THIS WORK-RIGHT- FROM BAZZINI

It is one of the hardest playable violin work ever written - Bazzini was the most famous student of Paganini . Maybe he stood higher than his teacher.

  • when i was this old, i was still pooping my pants

  • @Karmakameleeon, don't sweat it kid, all you need it practice and ded- wait, you were pooping your pants at 10 years old? o_o

  • I thought it was cute when he tickled her back while they were walking of stage...

  • amazing!!!!

  • When I clicked on this video, I fully expected it to be really BAD. Hmm, Woops!

  • If at the age of 10 she can play this much, which actually is really good, then wait till she'll get 20!

    Very good indeed!!

  • Bravo! I'm jealous:(

  • No matter how good you get, you can always find an asian who's better. I bet violin's just her hobby and she'll go into chemistry! (joke)

  • If she's this close now... what's gonna happen when she's like Perlman's age?

  • she has REALLY REALLY good bow control!!!!

  • @IshFishDish

Sorry, but I charge for music lessons and interviews.

  • we need to keep in mind these are children. they are very talented and are blessed to have such a special gift for music. we should encourage them. to each his own. bravo and keep up the hard work. these are complex pieces that most adults have trouble playing.

  • they neeed some close ups, COncerts were all about seeing your player swear, THEY gotta show how hard her fingers work playing this majestic piece of work

  • dude wtf im like 15 and i cant play this =D??????? i need to step up my game!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • why can't i play like this? is it too much to ask?

  • her pianist looks like santa clause:D

  • Not the best

  • really looks like she's having fun. great job.

  • Wow! At the beginning I thought I was watching and hearing a voice-over. Such effortless display with perfect intonation. Her stage presence is pretty cool too. I am more than impressed.

  • talented girl

  • E omelhor de todos que já assiti ,Jose waldery.

  • A question rarely asked...

Why is it that parents can afford the lessons and instruments to support their young children's incredible talent... but then can never seems to afford a decent video camera ~_~

common parents out there... think about the viewers T_T

  • MrSockPuppet So True

  • probably asian ha

  • Pity the sound quality makes the sweet high notes seem squeaky.

  • goodness gracious, things like this make me feel so inferior. I've been playing 6 years, I'm 19, and I can't come even close to this. What she's playing isn't perfect, by any means, but it is still amazing, incredible. Good on her!

  • amazing!!! :) im so jealous

  • She goes to my school =)

  • @OhGawshItsbryan if ur in the orchestra then i feel sorry for you lol

  • 10 anos??E eu sou o pai natal

  • If she plays like this at 10, what can we expect of her at 30? Amazing.

  • she has such grace near the end :)

  • I wish you could dislike the people who disliked this vid. Oh wait I already did.

  • i too have been put to shame by this little girl :'C

  • man i wish i can play bazzini im ten too and i can play paganini very well

  • @Justsang4me your waht ??

... im 12 but i cant play a REAL song...

and i've been playing for a year and a half already =.=

  • wow 64 dislikes what a shame im ten and i almost play paganini but this is overwhelming

  • wonderful playing!! really enjoyed the video :)

  • I like this one better than lots of other professional recordings, just because of the energy i'm getting from this girl. All the adults play it like tired fat slobs. HA!

  • i play violin,cello,bass,flute,piano,oboe,harp and viola and i'm 11

  • @awesomevideogirl

if it's even true, no-one cares

  • @henryb1992 aww come on let someone just post their comment in peace. so what if they're lying, maybe their exaggerating to make a point like i do sometimes

  • @awesomevideogirl no one gives a fuck you cocky butthole

  • @awesomevideogirl Yeah? Well, I'm Jesus.

  • I have been shamed by a girl :(

  • I hate to see kids performing this kind of stunts - unless someone tells me that the kid enjoyed the practices that it took to get this good. Did the kid sacrifice her childhood life under the influences from the parents and violin teachers?

  • @mytheus1 hmm i see whta you mean, but she may be enjoying this. I played the piano and violin when i was six, and I loved it, appart from the violin. My violin teacher was a complete dick. But she is amazing!

  • @mytheus1 Hmm one shouldn't assume childhood cannot co-exist with a musical life. Why not try it if she's able to? She obviously performs well in this piece, not very scratchy but rather outstanding. I mean, I understand you if she's playing smth ridiculous that she can't keep up.

  • OMG!! She is awesome!! I want to listen her interpretations in 10 or 15 years.

  • OMG!! She plays as perfect as Perlman, Menuhin and the other great violinist!! I want to see her playing in 10 or 20 years!!! AWESOME!!

  • i Really would like to hear the opinion of those 63 ppl that dislike this...whats their argument....this is amazing.most people that dislike thinks that the kid should have Childhood, but i really think that practicing any instrument is a remarkable childhood..Better than watch stupid things in the TV or Playing with dumb friends...

  • @billprokofiev so true.... and they call binge drinking is a life.....

  • @billprokofiev ohhh did you not have any freinds growing up?

  • @93thrasher Thats the worse part, i did have many friends while i was growing up and watched stupid things in the TV, maybe if my parents instructed me the same way Im instructing my kids, I would be happier and more sucessfull in life...

  • @billprokofiev haha! playing with dumb friends..:) you are absolutely right. But playing with dumb friends automatically means physical activity... and this is extremly important. When I was a child, me and some others dumbheads destroyed and disturbed the whole neighbourhood with self-made bombs and waterrockets and stuff like that, thats what i call physical acivity. I have now started violin in an age, where I have a clearer mind and view.

I wish I started 8 years earlier, but thats the way

  • @amrosik But there is so many ways u can do some physical activity then disturb the neighborhood, lol...

I did stufff like that when i was a child too... i would change if i had the mind i have now but thats the way...

  • @billprokofiev how old are you? how many years did you lost? when came the time, your mind became clearer?

  • @billprokofiev

Does ANYONE put this music on to ENJOY it as music?

No. It's just FLUFF masquerading as music. It's DESIGNED as a show off piece.

I'd rather listen to silence than this sort of baloney. Classical music is full of dumb pieces like this because people lap it up like the fools they are.

  • @Rexicano Why are you saying this? are you a Musician? You are calling this piece a sort of baloney because You never had the technique to play? by saying that you are calling, Perlman, Heifetz, Milstein and among other great violinist stupid, because they lost the time to learn, perform and record...Grow up " Musically if you can " man...

  • @billprokofiev

Look Willy; you might bring a Blonde Bimbo home from the Strip Club but don't try and tell me she's a Sunday School Teacher.

Fact;s You know NOTHING about my ability but I know you have no taste in music. Performers are WHORES who play what the public claps for. Simple as that. Heifetz was crap. There's a REASON Bazzini is not mentioned in the same company as Bach or Mozart. You're clueless.

  • @Rexicano Having met many musicians, and playing with the, chamber, ensembles, and duets, I have realized, no good musician has a foul mouth. They are kind and good-hearted. The way you talk, there is no more need to wonder what your skill level is. We can tell.

  • @Rexicano and stop saying we know nothing about you... the same thing can be said of you... do you know about this girl? stop acting like some Michael Jackson that lost childhood becayse of performances... I can see what you are trying to put up.. you are no Michael, you are not in the level to claim 'childhood loss' that is only for masters

  • @TempoFurioso

Great, so you think a child should play the most difficult pieces and play out of tune with no understanding of the complexity of the music?

I don't need to know about the kid because I know about the music.

And as far as your theory re the "foul mouth"... I guess speaking truth equals foul to you...but Beethoven was famous for having a foul temper; so, I guess he was a "bad" musician. Plenty more examples...so it's a a Pretty stupid theory you got there. Go cry to someone else.

  • @Rexicano Haha, you are the worst kind of elitist. Belittling children and composers for what reason? Because your opinion is so objective? From what I see from your channel, your taste in music is remarkably awful.

  • @MengoMango

    thank you for your note;

now go write to the other 70 people who did not like it.

  • @billprokofiev ...Unless their "dumb friends" can play like this, speak a foreign language, are good at math, etc....I agree with everything you said but don't think anyone is "dumb." Each person has something special they can offer to society...It just takes some longer to figure out exactly what they can offer for the good of others. I barely graduated from high school but wound up with advanced degrees, the ability to read, write and speak a different language and have given back.

  • @billprokofiev This was a very good performance but there's nothing wrong with having friends and I don't think you'd be saying that if you had any.

  • @billprokofiev Hey not all friends are dumb >:(

  • Santa Clous! :D

  • She seems more confident and relax at 10 than Permlann did at that age. Lovely no matter what. Totally phenomenal perforamance, 'tis true. Merry Christmas!

  • God, what little applause for such a fenomenal performance!

  • Certified Intergalactic!

  • WOW!

it's....just awesome....when did you start playing and how much do you play on day??

  • give me 5 years, i'll master this,

    just you wait!

    santa will help me!

  • @kenrsdude Pues yo realmente espero que nos ayude.

  • no mameeeeeeeeesssssss.

  • holy crap guys, this is my friend. i found out she was like, a violin prodigy today! SHES SO GOOD! OMG.

  • How is it tall to be 10 years old? anyways this girl is amazing.

    beast.

  • wow wtf!!! she is very clear too WTF she is only 10.

  • 小女生~您演奏得非常棒~加油~阿偉~台灣~

  • haha that's amazing! well played!

  • that was simply insane, amazing

  • this girl goes to my school. :)

  • not only do i deeply enjoy listening to this but also must i admire your great expression.

one can hear it but also very vividly see it in your posture, gestures and movements :-) i'm in awe. being quite a bit older i still hardly could express myself this delicately.

thank you so much for this performance.

  • the only thing you thrust longer than your hip is your chin. i don't want to look like a xenophobe but what's the deal with ...asian people and violins? I've been searching for a social study to clear that up for me, i can't find anything, what brings you people close to this instrument? what motivates your parents to push you into practicing so hard every day? i've seen a small 7 yr kid "wearing" a caprice 24 ....why?

  • This is so gorgeous. :)

  • WOW, that was awsome!!

  • Perlman sinks his bown into the strings to get the tone that he's stylistically famous for. Heifetz on the other hand plays light and airy in a style that only he can pull off to sound etheric instead of sharp and thin. Even though Heifetz really rushes the tempo, the actual verses don't sound rushed.

This girl may stay in perfect tempo the entire piece, but her verses still sound rushed, like she's just trying to finish the song and play the notes instead of forming and shaping the song.

  • A lot of people are talking about speed, but actually listen to the differences in tone and articulation.

Children are incapable of playing with feeling. I've listened both Heifetz's and Perlman's recordings of Bazzini many many times.

  • wonderful. especially bow technique!

  • She is wonderful. How old was she when she started violin?

I wonder how long she practiced a day then..

    just amazing.

  • The right question to ask would be: How long do her parents force her to practice every day?

  • Devemos dar crédito ao talento sem fazer comparações, cada um tem seu DOM. É necessário lapidá-lo.

  • And other thing... she can be even better than Perlman, anybody can if they don't give up their wishes ^ ^

  • In order to be better than Perlman, you'd have to be a robotic clone of Perlman. No I don't think this girl or anyone else can hope to match him in any regard.

  • @tetrisclock.... use a traductor if needed.... tu definitivamente debes ser un violinista frustrado o algo, por que en mi vida pensaria que existia alguen tan negativo y pesimista..... LOL

  • I used to be a frustrated violinist, but since enterring college, I haven't done much with my violin. When I get the chance I plan on picking it back up and finishing the Mendelssohn I had been working on.

Perlman though has always been a personal role model and hero of mine since I was a child, so it seems blasphemous to say that a 10 year old girl is better than him.

  • Is not that she play the melody slow, what I mean is that she plays frikin fast, but I don't know how the heeeellllll he can play even faster!!!!!

  • She play this melody very well... very, very well, but when you watch Perlman's video and whatch this again her playing sound more like in slow motion.

  • Holy cow! She's great!

  • Eeeek. She's amazing. Makes me want to burn my violin. D: Hahaha. God I'm so jealous. I wish I started playing earlier.

  • This is my favorite bazzini performance so faR!

  • Comment removed

  • nicley done.

u are an extravagant violinist and u were joined by an amazing

    pianist.

    Bravo!

  • I see 100% asian and 0% expression! :'(

  • @skatenec i saaw tons and tons of expressin

  • @skatenec Before you act like a fucking ass and generalize an entire group of people, take note: I'm always happiest while playing the violin but I don't necessarily show it by flashing a cheeky grin or moving around like some manic. However the hell you define "expression", your naivety astounds me: expression is not defined by how the performer looks or moves. It's what the performer feels when playing. How the player feels doesn't require some blatant superficial facade to justify those ends.

  • certainly a remarkable performance, congratulations

  • im not surprised she's asian

  • wow everyone stop criticizing her..... shes ten in this video for christ's sake! shes better than most high school and college players i know!

  • cool... but Perlman plays more joy full with more piece... However she keeps moving which in some way or another effected the intonation of some notes!! BUT for her age its sooo great!!

  • cool video! awesome girl keept it up!

  • haha yeah there's no comparison with her to perlman...yes it was kind of awkward, and yes her poise was bad, and there were some strange notes that she needs to fix up...BUT great credit goes to her for being able to play this at all. :D it's quite an accomplishment, i would say.

  • AHAHAH THATS MILES. IVE HAD HIM MANY TIMES TOO. SF Conservatory 4 life.

  • NO..... *-----*ING..... WAY.....

  • lol she's definately not perlman. perlman makes everything so effortless, thats his signature style. her playing, you can sense distress, especially with her bow strokes and her posture. even when perlman was 13, he was still effortless. if perlman made a mistake, it would seem as if it was intentional because of how effortless he is. she has a long way to go to be perlman.

but besides the point of perlman, she's terribly, horribly, good. i'm beyond jealous at her talent (really, thats insane)

  • well, I think we should stop comparing her to Perlman, I mean he´s older than her. she´s still learning and has a brilliant life ahead! I truly enjoyed this and the fact that she puts so much emotion in her playing, she truly enjoys it!

  • SFCM ftw!

  • Okayyy uhhh. I think I need to practice some more...

    I'm so jealous D:

  • wow, is she serously only ten? ive seen people that had spent thier hole life playing violen and at fifty and THEY cant even play this freakin good!!!!

  • Just imagine the progress that this ten-year-old must have made during the past six years! But the best part of this performance is the promise, based on her ease of body movement and relaxation. Her teacher deserves a prize. And Mindy deserves a better violin.

  • don't know why everyone keeps saying "she's amazing 4 her 10 years". c'mon isn't this discrimination? and is someone less amazing if he plays it but he's older?

  • The older you are... one expects more... don´t you think? So when a 10 years old does better than an adult... Is that not worth giving credit for???

  • agree

  • @brosy2003 me too

  • oh wow..!! awesome

  • Comment removed

  • I'd like to hear her performances when she is 10 - 15 years older. If she's playing like this now, I shudder to think of what she'd be doing in 10 - 15 years!!

  • im 11 and i thought i was good.r these vids made to destroy us young violinists self confidence lol i better go practive even though i dont realy feel lik it after this

  • Hahahhahaha, I almost died of laughter after reading your post!! I am seventeen and I completely understand what you mean. I'm in my school's orchestra and sometimes we watch videos like these and weep together. haha XD

  • From her posture, her expressions, and her movement while playing, I can see that she put a lot of her emotions into playing this piece. And that is quite some technique she had. I can listen to this all day.

  • As a 12 year old I feel like killing myself. How long must u play to learn this song ? I have played for 3.5 years and performed lalo symphonie espagnole. How much more to the Mendelssohn, tchaikovsky, and bazzini. Please tell me!

  • i tottaly agre with ulezare2012 sumhow as much as u practice an practice and feel as good as mozart after watching these i feel lik im 1 inch tall

  • she looks like a 14 year old?

    she sounds like a 20'er ;)

  • Oh and his was sooo good! I believe she is great 4 a 10 year old

  • Haha wow

  • Wow that was pretty good! Now if you shall excuse me I shall go burn my violin.

  • may i add my viola to the pit? :PP

  • me too!!!

  • @Alduflo93 I shall join you, I'll light the match. *o*

  • @Alduflo93 I shall join you, I'll light the match. *o*

  • @Alduflo93 i follow u! :P

  • she looks like a 14 year old

  • they could have bout her a nicer dress - surely a such an amazing violinist deserves an equally amazing dress??

  • its great for a person at this age.

  • great job.. there's not much harder than this song. in my opinion this song is probably in the top tier of difficulty

after you do this song it's just building your repetoire for performances

  • thanks! but there's so many other pieces that are so much more difficult! it's not only the technical aspect....take mozart, for example. technically, it's not that bad. everyone can play it. but musically, it requires a lot more depth and understanding of the piece.

  • all songs require emotional depth and phrasing

mozart has many amazing pieces, but by the standard set by later composers, it's probably intermediate at hardest

sarasate was always my favourite, lots of emotion and lots of technical precision required

  • genial, yo quiero aprender, se tocar algo, donde encuentro una buena academia en Colombia??? :s

  • Great, very good .... ^^

  • muy bonito :3

  • the tempo is not very steady at the begaining...so the piano has a bit out phase...but it's very good indeed=] i love it

  • yeah, i noticed that too :D

  • chinese are good at that

  • haha!

  • Wow that was soooooooo amazing

  • thank youuuuuuuuuuu!

  • this is sickening to watch. i wish i can play like that :(

  • ....visit the drugstore? :P

  • hehe...the pianist looks like santa claus

maybe he gave mindy violin playing powers for Christmas xD

  • haha he might have! he's the most hilarious person ever!

  • the best keep up the good work!!!
