@Untaimed11 if you think ANYTHING about jackman as van helsing was worthwhile, physical or otherwise, you have no reason to be watching this, as you lack any form of taste.
It's really convenient everyone in Transylvania speaks English. ;)
I'm just amazed also about how little guilt the teacher's showing. I mean, she's acting so blase about how she let a bloodthirsty monster on the loose and chances are killed that landlord's daughter last night.
@Nergaladdictchic no way! he is one fine hunk of man, Baron Von Sissy can't hold a candle to Van Hellsing (peter cushing) I'm just upset at myself for taking so long to see how lovely he is.
@marshalle1026 --- I think it's related to the same reason my parents (who grew up in the Depression of the 1930s) automatically deferred to anyone who was wearing fine clothes and spoke with calm authoritativeness. A stranger is well-dressed and mannerly, ergo he must be Better Than Us and, therefore, can take charge.
Sometimes I wish that I could grab my laptop, ipod and my girlfriend and then just go back in time and live during those years.. Elegance, class, education and style was even among the simple people.
Thank you so much for sharing this with all of us! It is next to impossible to see these Hammer Classics anymore. They are never on tv.One can not purchase or rent them on video or dvd. You are doing a great service for everyone who loves these classy and classic old movies. Kudos!
I have purchased some of them on dvd--not pirates, either. This one has been on AMC a number of times. Wish they would go back to Hammer Films in October instead of Halloween 47 marathons.
The great Peter Cushing added alot of class to this film, elevating it above many so called "Horror Films". I was fortunate to get his autograph in the mid '70s. A true gentleman.
I haven't seen this elegant piece of work in many a long time. I just thought I would drop in on Part 4 and thank you for putting this together. I just subscribed to you. I loved the old Peter Cushing/Christopher Lee Hammer Films.

That scene with the nice music and the kids playing is the most family friendly scene in the whole of the Hammer Dracula series.

"I'm a doctor," says the stranger. "Dr. Van Helsing."
From this point on, you just know that the vampire is dead. Oh, he may be walking around killing folks, but he's still dead.
Van Helsing is here, baby, and judgement and hell shall find the wicked in his wake!
