  • 6 months later... i have a MT2 18ss+ he has a gt. went bashing today, he had many steering problems, mine ran smooth. a good 3 hour bash :D i would recomend the MT2 or the GT

  • A car is only as crap as the driver. If you don't know how to work it then nothing well ever work for you.

  • dudes its 2 tanks ideling 2 tanks figue eighrs at 1/3 throttle than you move up to 1/2 throttle and than full throttel bu tother wise how do you like lighting 10 is it a good racer on the track

  • year its 10th scale

  • I need help with my Lightning GT10 how many tanks should i use to break in the engine and how many tanks did u use to break in

please help me and please reply

  • is that scale 1/10? big tires!

  • asi se acientan el motor???????

  • dont ever run a car without breaking it in!!!!!

i just let mine idle through 7 tanks! it took 2 and half days!!

  • You have to drive it around to break it in. Sitting at idle makes the engine run cold and not wear in properly. Plus it can put extra stresses on the connecting rod and crankshaft. Thats how I broke mine, too many idle tanks and too much rich running, I did 26 tanks for break in which I probably shouldn't have done.

  • You clearly have no idea. The first 2 or so tanks you run entirely idle, doing the minimum numbers of revs to keep it running. I would love to see the maths behind it putting more stress on the crankshaft. As for breaking you engine, running rich should never cause a problem.... But damn, 26 tanks!? thats a full gallon of fuel. I wouldn't give advice when you're clueless yourself, sorry.

  • I know I was wrong, I was a newbie when I did that. I was replying to appletoeat saying that just sitting at idle will not break it in properly as it cannot heat it up. The reason why it puts stress on the conrod is because it is running cold because it is rich, meaning the liner doesn't expand fully. If you fully read my comment, I put "which I probably shouldn't have done" which shows that I knew I did wrong from my experience at the time. I didn't do this on my second engine and that ran fine

  • @appletoeat123 LOL if you let it idle during break it you have no proformance at all. your supposed to let the engine get up to around 210degrees so it can make a good fit between the piston and the piston sleave. Never let it idle a tank.

  • @appletoeat123 7 tanks? lmfao... let me guess its still on that box as we speak.

  • dident eveg get a chance 2 break my lightning gt10 in! went through 2 tanks of petrol n the rotor starter broke!

  • Good, break in is the most important part of a engines life. Never rush it.

  • who makes that car?

  • hot bodies
