Wow, this remix/rearrange really sounds awesome, very proffesional. The only complain is that the piano sometimes sounds a little weird, but hey, I can't do better! ;) I hope DICE and EA will release a sequel. The game really rocks!

As for the mix, i'm not really happy with the string melody too... but if i wasn't releasing any song i wasn't happy with... i wouldn't release anything haha

I've got to say, this is the best mix of the song I've seen so far, doesn't feel like someone just grabbed sound bites from the original and just threw them together. It's got a nice, epic atmosphere to it, and really highlights the theme nicely.

Great mix. Going to listen to it more than once, that's for sure. :)

I contacted Dice, it's from the original soundtrack of the game, but they don't wan't to tell more about it, before the game is released.

Cubase SX 3, but addictive drums is more than a plugin, it can't work in standalone mode, but it's a pretty big software used as a vst :)

If you like that song, then you guys would probably like song made in 2003, you can download it off of modarchiveDOTcom. Search for 'Essence of Life remake'. Not sure about all the players that can play it, but I use WinAmp.

Thanks for the comment, obviously i can't have the same instruments. This is not my point anyway... it's a rearrange, i try to focus on writing the same theme and make my own version.

Still the guitar is still a synth, i'll record it today or tomorrow. But's for sure, i won't have the sound the composer has in the trailer :)

The instrument that I was commenting about before is the one that crops up at 1:17 and plays at 1:38.

I like it, but I can't help but feel that parts of it sound "fake".

Not fake as in "Not in the original" but fake as in, they sound like the wrong instrument.

I eagerly await the final version because I feel if you Improve the sounds it could be very good.
