Barbarians use light armor, not cloth armor.

For example, my HOX use robes because its a mage and use cloth armor.

this is really cool.... but please keep the armor realistic, unlike games like world of warcraft who have players dressed in golden shoulder pads and chest,legs etc. (thats for children) try and imitate elder scrolls oblivion, the armor there is not too flashy and still cool :D imagine going into a city and seeing people with golden chest pieces/ epic head armor, that would really kill the game

I like how everyone is saying "They wanted it to be realistic" as an excuse for the crappy looking armor. Have you even seen the pict armor and weapons? They're an obvious indicator that they will add more cool looking armor and weapons later. Just because it's realistic doesn't mean it must look like shit.

WoW is 3 years old, roughtly. And all the 1500 sets are in the game, its just that ALOT of them are used only on NPC's ATM, but I hope and think that will change.

And about quests and levelling, yeah there's lots to do untill 56-60. Quests die off because a lot of the mid-end content isn't there yet. It's pretty much a grindfest now with 1-3 quests per level for about 20% of your bar. Good for breaking up grinding.

Just grab a friend and beat on mobs a few levels higher. It's not so bad, and you can XP pretty quick because of the pretty good mob kill XP rewards.

I've worn the same looking armor from 30-54.

Most of the 'sets' and whatnot is being kept for end-tier instance epics in the late late dungeons.

BUT the dev's are addressing itamization concerns and releasing some of the item graphics and making some more.

WoW...lots of ppl are high. I'm one of the few who's can actually talk as he's played most MMOs out there. AoC is soo addictive...from noob play to high lv play, instances, mini-small-medium-large-insane­-town based-world based. armours weapons, mounts, I'm lv 40 and have already done so much, seen so much, had so much fun. In WoW i grinded 10 levels, got barely rewarded for the shitty quests i did, and as a Warlock my character was crap until higher lvs. I always own in AoC. Lv to 60 or STFU.

There came a time in WoW, when the 12 year olds just wanted big swords and ''shiny'' and that took over the game completely, the armor got completely stupid. It was better with good old more realistic sets such as valor.

I believe the level of realism will add to the game. The people complaining about having non-realistic, glowing armor, this probably isn't the game for you anyway, stick to wow.

unlike wow, aoc doesnt have the rush to lvl 70, where all the fun mostly revolves being around lvl 70. I played wow for 3 years. This game keeps u entertained, theres no "omg i hate lvling" in this game, its purely satisfying.

btw getting to lvl 80 in aoc takes less time than it would to get 70 in wow

I love AOC but the armor sets are a little disappointing, the skins for them are a little bland. I do realize the game hasn't even launched. Neverwinter nights armor sets rocked, too bad is was a terrible game.
