that quote is spot on! I have the 5 speed manual in mine. So much feedback from the drivetrain and road is given through the clutch. I can't give it up.

VW made narrow angle 5 cylinders, and they did call it the V5 which is wrong, it's not a true V configuration more like a VR5, that's why I said VR6 minus a pistion, which gives you a VR5, moron. The angle is extremly narrow (10.6deg or 15deg) unlike the normal 45, 60 or 90 in those more common engines as you mentioned, plus the pistons are staggered in a VR configuration, where as in normal v-conf they are not. Wikipedia "V5 engine" whenever you get the chance db.

Hey umm...I've test driven the Jetta 2.0T, it's a 5 Cylinder turbo. I've also test driven the Volvo C30 T5, also a Turbo 5 cylinder. I believe even Ford now makes a 5 cylinder...

we raced one in a 1997 toyota avalon 3.0v6 200hp
