great video. just one question, how many times have you gone out and used that kit? would like to see a video on you useing just that kit in the woods say overnight. seams like you have very few items in your kit. thks Hamm336
I was planning on doing some videos on a few of the items in the kit but haven't gotten around to it. I want to show how to use the foil & how much is there to work with & I also want to show the snare set up & maybe catch & cook a fish. I don't think it would be a good idea to go into the woods with only that kit its basically to contain a few helpful items you normally wouldn't use on a hike but might need if you got lost for a few days.
i have one of those can kits, but it's so small that i made it into an emergency food kit. i put some salt, sugar, and jelly jam. plus some vinegar. the salt is for dehydration. the sugar is for if i need to sweeten something. the jam is an emergency snack. the vinegar is for if i catch a fish.
The foil is about 3 foot by 1 foot folded into a small square. You just need to unfold it & form it into a bowl to boil water or provide it support to grill on it or wrap it around your food & set it in hot coals.
OMG! It sure doesn't look that big! I don't think I could fold tinfoil that big into that tiny size! I'll have to experiment and see...thxs for the survival tips. I have one of those tins!
I once used one of those altoid cans as a wallet when mine was stolen at school...I thought it was a good use, then I seen this video and its like a way better use man. I'ma have to make me one lol Paul your the man when it comes to survival!
Pretty cool all this stuff fits into a small tin like that. I've seen alot of video's featuring simular tins, but this one contains the most items I've seen so far. Very useful too(!)
