Isn't the troika supposed to represent the spokes of a wheel turning? Please correct me if I'm wrong :)

@MindProbeTest2 It's supposed to be symbolic of horses pulling a carriage.

Well the word troika itself does mean a group of three, and as you can see some of the turns and spins wouldn't really be possible with just two people.

Can the Troika be danced by 2 people or does it absolutely have to be a three person dance?

Yes they are. This was actually a group that was being taught the troika for the first time, so that might have something to do with it.
very interesting, but the steps seem very exagerated as compaired to the way we were taught.
