@MrContendedSkorka You're always learning if your playing lot's of different songs. Playing barre chords makes you learn chord positions elswhere on the neck, different tunings introduce you to different chord shapes for the same note and the order of notes on the guitar, capos make you understand about tones, semi-tones/ steps, half steps/ keys etc. Your learning all the time, you just don't realise you are!!!! Great isn't it!

@MrContendedSkorka I've had no lessons either. Just play songs I like. The more you do the better you get. Initially I couldn't grab a 'C' chord quick enough to play a song with a 'C'!! Spent 6 months playing only 'C-less' songs lol. Eventually I made myself master barre chords to play 'Married with Children' Now I can finger pick a bit and play Blackbird and heaps of other songs. Just vary the songs to keep it interesting. Don't be afraid to try difficult songs, you move on a lot quicker!

I don't know how many versions of this song I've watched on YouTube since I started paying guitar over a year ago. Too many to count. It has to be one of the most covered Beatles songs on this channel.

@MrContendedSkorka I play an hour a day or two if I can. I'm not very good at fingerpicking but I picked this up quite quickly. It's easier than it looks. (very repetitive) If play less than half an hour a day I feel I'm 'slacking' lol.

@MrContendedSkorka I started playing guitar last September, and have had no lessons I've taught myself everything, at first its hard to convince yourself to keep playing as there is very little reward originally, but now I love it! I'd highly recommend it. :D
