What a ridiculous notion to bury their feces to get them to avoid digging. That's a old wives tale and is well known among anyone that's tried it that it doesn't work. Ever thought about just building your dog a digging pit or sandbox where he can dig? Dogs dig mostly because it's fun for them or because they hear insects in the ground; rarely because they're 'bored.'
@aquaopa1 Likely has nothing to do with his feces being in there. Do some research on the subject, then comment once you've discovered what the science indicates.
You forgot to mention one more reason dogs dig,,,,becuase they enjoy it. I have a
Boarder Collie that loves to dig so we got her a playmate. Now we have 2 dogs that love to dig!!!! UGHHHHH!!!! Is there a special breed that doesnt dig or bark at the wind?

@keeg021985 A dog will dig due to separation anxiety, becuase it wants attention, or because it has nothing to play with.
God, my dog is smarter than you. That's sad.
