For over 25 years, I had the pleasure of promoting many talented entertainers in the music industry. Bobby Vee is one of most prolific recording stars and certainly one of my favorites. It is a monumental shame that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has yet to induct him. Great rendition of Buddy's signature song!
Bobby got his big break when Buddy died. Bobby Vee has one of the nicest voice but can still sing rock and roll. He is the only pop singer to have aquired the "Holly hiccup" style in some of the songs he sang especially old Buddy Holly songs.
My wife Mary and I also married back in 1963...and "True Love Ways" was our wedding song;although we both loved Bobby and had all his records,it was Buddy's version that we danced to.
