@anderstc95 he might have his speakers set up somewhere else. I always keep my speakers in my garage cuz it would be a pain in the ass to move em to my bedroom after every gig
@anderstc95 lol!!!!! well spotted and good question as you see it time and time again on y/t where people spend shit loads on the set up and then play it through some £20 speakers
@anderstc95 try £1600 of ATC scm 20's like I have and then we can talk...check out my set up fella......dont get to upset fella as I was only concurring with what someone else said.......bloody moody DJ's.....lol!!!
@anderstc95 try my £1600 atc scm 20 speakers and then we can talk! :D..lol!!!.....check out my set up on my channel fella....bloody moody Dj's....lol!
and theres denons version to the pioneer djm 909 mixer lmfao all that space on the mixer wasted what do you do with it wile mixing use it to warm your hands up
ive got a set of cheap off brand towers that i use with a car amplifier and an AC/DC converter. You just run the L&R cable that would go to your car deck to your Mixer
F that. I can spend $40 on the same tracks you're picking up, $40 on another set that they're not even PRESSING to vinyl and spend the final $120 on booze and women!
I grew up on "proper decks". Now I get twice the function out of my CDJ's and spend half the money after the initial purchase!
if you're using serato scratch there is a type of interface. you get timecoded CDs, which basically have a long tone on them. you hook the RCA cables from the decks into the serato box (interface), which is connected by usb to your computer. Serato then recognizes the tone on the CD, which controls your track. then the audio from the track itself is outputted through the interface to your mixer, where you can output to your speakers.
there are plenty of programs out there for your laptop, but it really depends on what you want to do with it. Are you going to be using it for scratching, mixing, remixing, or just live playback?
for mixing, i would reccomend ableton or mixmeister, but i dont know alot about synthing and stuff like that, but look for a program with midi inputs for your equipment (ie piano/Keyboard)
real sweet setup, but here's mine: 12's(gold limited edition),rane ttm 56, M44-7 and N44-7, serato scratch live 2.0 version, shure headphones w/mic, (2)LX1818AV2 and (2)LX1818V2..but I'm missing sound efx can anybody on here give me some advice on what to get when it comes to the efx....Blaze
i have a question, do you plug in all the equipment ( mixer and cd players) in to the computer or just the mixer. And how does that work with your computer, do you have to have any special kind of program?
I've got the same mixer, it's very cool but there's only one problem: I hate the crossfader, it's not suited for scratching (it has a tiny delay that you can hear when you are crabbing)
man i love my denon dn-s1000 do you whats your experiance with them____DJ*REV

Actually you can hook it up to Serato. You can even hook up vinyl turntables to Serato. But he is recording in garageband.

yeah true man, unfortunately the art of finding and digging for vinyl is a rare sight these days
bo0mk1d 3 years ago 2
i know, especially with my music genre "Grime" theres hardly any of the tunes that get on to vinyl, thats why i timecoded them =]
Tomlikesmusic 3 years ago 3
what are you on about!! i spend 200 a month on vinyl every month!! as for cdjs they are easy try using a proper deck!
