  • i got xd 40 and well i love it shot it and a glock and i just like it more

  • Glock. My trigger finger is my safety.

  • im keeping it real, xd is better than the glock

  • Gun HS-9 as the most successful product of the Croatian military industry products HS Produkt of Karlovac. HS is a semi-automatic pistol gun that is sold under the name HS-9, HS-40, HS-45, (the number represents the caliber designation) on the Croatian market and markets outside the U.S., while sales in the U.S. market as the Springfield Armory "eXtreme Duty or XD-X (X is also a tag-caliber).

  • I personally like the XD better than the Glock because of the grip angle and grip safety.

  • xd gives more safety features than the glock.

  • besides all the features between the xd and the xdm is there a difference while shooting the xd and the xdm? debating on wich one to get, any advice will help thanks.

  • Does my jedi power sense bias with the aggression of a mac vs pc or chevy vs ford argument?

  • Made in Croatia

  • Imitation Glock.

  • Lord, you should redo the review on the XD.. I know you already did the XDM and love it but man, it really shows in this video how much you really did not like the XD back then. ha ha

  • Glock Fanboy much?

Lol, but nice points made. Gotta love both.

  • For those who say glock is not accurate I dont know what your smoking. I own a glock 23 first handgun ever owned. First handgun ever shot. Guess what at 25 yards I put rounds into the size of a silver dollar the target made one big ass hole. The bullets all clovered and touched. So I have no idea what your talking about as inacurate. Maby you cant shoot idk.

  • I carry an XD concealed, sometimes an M&P, sometimes a 1911 mostly the XD. Full size, full capacity, full day. Nothing is too big about any of these three. In addition the only thing similar about the Glock and XD/HS2000 is that it is a polymer frame. The barrel is standard land and groove, not polygonal. The grip angle is different. The bore axis is different etc... and the XD reliability issue is bullshit. IT will run against Glock all day long dont fall for the Glock koolaid.

  • @HYBRIDCOMBATIVES AMEN!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I dont get why people dont like glock grips. I had someone say that a glock 23 handgrip is to big. I mean are you serious.

  • @LiveFreeOrDie1985 It is tough being a Hobbit.

  • @HYBRIDCOMBATIVES a hobbit???

  • @LiveFreeOrDie1985 Maybe everyones hands arent the same?

  • Good review, I enjoyed it. You could show somebody 10 more reasons why the XD is inferior to the Glock and I would probably agree, bottom line for me is that the xd feels better in my hand. If I could change the grip of the Glock I would have one. As far as accuarcy goes, we all understand its the practice of of the magician, not the wand. I.E. if you shot the XD for years and then tested the Glock, you would have the same results. Every gun is a knock off of another. They are both great guns.

  • I have to ask is the whole carrying a gun under CCW permit the race issue? It seems that way at times. If you don't mind why did you start carrying and purchasing?

  • I have 2 XD9's. Love them. I like the grip safety a lot. Very accurate at 25 yards. First time I shot it, I had a tight pattern of 15 right out of the box. So I bought another one. Easy to clean. Hasn't jammed yet. Easy and accurate. Ironically, I did shot one bullseye with my Sig P238 .380.....which was the only complete bullseye. Luck?

  • Glock guys like Glocks. For those of us that do not like Glocks, this is a great gun. I like mine and will keep it.

  • Do you put your index finger on the front of the trigger guard or not? My buddies and I debate over this

  • @digiwolff no

  • I really enjoyed this video they are both really great weapons I love them both and you did a great job giving good points

  • You spelled philosophy wrong.

  • every one else in the world knows it as the HS2000 lol but i love it anyway

  • @stickandrun Yup Built in Croatia. However that model (so i believe, correct me if Im wrong) doesnt have those little features like the grip safety, chamber indicator or the little striker pin on the back.

  • I agree on the beaver tail safety 100%. I work as a L.E.O. and if you are to get into a life or death encounter on side of the road, you do not want to have to worry about weather or not you are gripping your weapon correctly. All you need to be concerned with at that point is clearing your holster and putting the threat down. That's why I carry Glock.

  • I used to carry a glock 17 for 4 years when i was serving in the Dutch army, then i got myself a XD and never got rid of it :))))) I love it.

  • I heard it said best once that the XD series took most of its design cues from the glock and 1911 setups. After your video I would guess you feel the same way. Any news on long term durability? I've been having issues with my xd 40 lately. Love to hear what your thoughts are.

  • XD stole their trigger guard design from Glock? Yes..... but Glock stole it from the HK P7 and USP series'.

  • you forgot to mention in the extra 3.0z about the loaded chamber indicator the cocked indicator and the better spring and a non plastic spring pin

  • the 30rd mag capability is a non-starter with me. If I need 30 rounds of ammo in my gun.... I'll use my M4 or AK.

  • Own both Glock 30 and Glock 22. Also own the XD 45 and XD 40sc. I personally love both Glock and XD. Added weight of the XD def makes for less recoil vs .Glock. Also XD is easier to take down for cleaning. XD more visually appealing and no-doubt will go BANG EVERY TIME. Both are superlative guns. Glock or XD doesn't have to be zero sum. I wouldn't give either of mine away. Love your reviews Nutn, but when it comes to GLOCK you are the DEFINITION OF BRAND MYOPIC....just saying

  • Awesome awesome review. First one of your videos I have watched and I subscribed right up. Too bad I didn't watch this earlier, I bought an XDm .45 last month. Not really, I love it. I would have definitely thought longer and harder on it having seen your review. It was a huge step up from the S&W M&P I had before. Thanks again for the great work, I'm really looking forward to watching the new ones in the future and sorry for the long comment. DUDE!

  • Did he just say he doesn't like the magazine because he doesn't want it "glinting" in the sunlight? If you are having to reload your pistol I am pretty sure that the enemy is going to already know you are there lol. I love this guys reviews but every once and a while he says some silly stuff. Like the one I just mentioned.

  • @2cents2many yup

  • Over 1500rounds through my XD9 and no problems at all. I only own an XD, a PT1911 and a Taurus Model 85 so I cant compare XD to Glock.

  • I find the extra weight of the XD, does a decent job of combating recoil.

  • i honestly think that the XD Compares more to a 1911 i think the only real thing that would make me think the XD is similar to the Glock is the fact that it is a polymer frame pistol I own each of the XD series all Sizes and i just bought a glock and i really like it just as much AFTER I LEARNED HOW TO SHOOT IT BECAUSE IT IS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SYSTEM Why arent we focusing our energy on fighting for our rights insted of arguing over stupid s**t LETS UNITE SO WE CAN KEEP OUR GUNS.... Hooah?

  • I think glocks are the best gun by far but I went and bought an xd sub compact in .40cal and so far the only difference is the slide sits higher than a glocks low profile slide but the reliability of both guns is the same the xd is just a bit bulky but still makes for a good conceal weapon as does the glock.

  • Yes the aditional safety is bad when you have children. Because with children when they want to they will eventualy get into things. It will take time for them to get to it but they will.

  • Hey there, i just wanna get my two bits in. I'm not a fan of the XD, becuase i have no opinion. i have not shot one. i don't nessicarially LIKE glocks, but i must say, it kills recoil like no other. but i would like a more, i guess focoused and optimistic review of this gun, not just compared to the Glock. i don't mean to attack or anything, i just think it would be a bit better for some to here what's good about it moreso than what Glocks have that's better. but hey, kickass videos.

  • I have not shot a glock but i have the xd sub compact in 9mm and i loved the accuracy

  • they def have bigger mags, ive seen them and almost bought one but figured the two 16 round mags that came with were plenty. the grip is SUPERIOR over the glock, i dislike the "mid baseball bat" sized grip, we are humans not monkeys, the XD has a more natural HUMAN sized grip. the accuracy is superb and from my time (as little as yours with the XD) ive found them to be equal. the price is better, the grip is better

  • rip off to the glock?! thats harsh. you could claim that glock rips off the VP70 as they claim to be the first polymer gun. the XD has a grip safety because it sells, a ambi safety because it sells, a 1911 grip style because it sells, the option of a thumb safety nowadays because it sells and a better trigger because it sells. thats not a rip off, thats damned smart marketing to obtain the biggest profit possible. the capacity isnt really an issue-if you want more get a bigger mag.

  • The glock model 17 mag only hols 17 rounds normally NOT 19. When comparing firepower common sense would say only compare flush fit magazines.

  • I love the XDM/XD for carry. That is why I got my XDM45 that has 14 .45 caliber rounds in one mag and I love 45 cal.

  • Nutnfancy is hilarious!! I like how he reeaally tries NOT to trash the gun but does so with every check of his list, but on the sly. Funny.

I live down south & in my state, pop. 18 million, there's a really popular local gun classified internet site. I'm scared to buy XD's because that's all owners are trying to sell used & rarely used! Even Glock trade, Ruger trade???!! It makes me think something is wrong. Hardly any glocks for resale & Ruger SR9c's! I won't buy one now, even though their cool

  • can the glock scope mount fit the xd 9?

  • Having fired both weapons i chose the XD over the glock any day. After fired about 50 rounds through each the XD never jammed and the glock miss fired and jammed frequently.

  • More cops in TX use Glocks! More than 65% of polymer sales belong to Glock. M & P's are getting better reviews and better sales than XD's by law enforcement here too... Just sayin.

  • The extra 3 oz gives you a grip saftey and less muzzle rise. i am a proud owner of an xd and the main thing I find lacking in polymer pistols is a thumb saftey lever. I love my xd but I wont carry with a round in the chamber I would feel even less inclined to carry a glock that doesnt even have the grip saftey. Anything that catches the trigger has about a 50% chance of hitting the trigger saftey there is a round in your leg.

  • what would you choose, the xd9 or the m&p 9?

  • Safeties kill people!

  • Springfiled XD pistol is from Croatia, and in Croatia it's called HS2K(Hrvatski Samokres 2000) if i recall it's the safest gun in the world or i'am wrong?

  • i own a XD .45ACP i dont regret getting it but my next pistol will be a Glock.

  • I was thinking about buying an XD series....but I realized I can't stand hammerless! I'll stick with my cz phantom and p-01 ;)

Love the videos nutn, really helpful!

  • To je ustvari HS-Hrvatski samokres 2000

  • Isn't Glock 17 called glock 17 cause it was the 17:th patent of the guy who invented it? :S or am I completely wrong?

  • @elon92 Yes, you're absolutely right. The G17 was the first design and that's why all of the other Glocks have higher numbers. The name has nothing to do with the ammunition capacity.

  • You compare the standard version of the Springfield by comparing the "XD" to the Glock. That is like comparing a 6 cylinder Mustang to a Corvette. Since the Glock is considerably more money, Why not compare a closer price-point Springfield pistol with the XDM-9 to the Glock 17?? I just sold my Glock 17 after being a hardcore fan of Glock for years. Hands down, the XDM is a better overall gun. More firepower with XDM 19rd clip, more accurate than the Glock with the enhanced barrel.

  • @Archangel0804 its not a clip its a magazine....

  • Isn't the ""dude"" with the grips added to the thumb indentation Nutn'?

  • glocks are complete pieces of shit! good as a paper weight though.

  • Good Video. But who the hell isn't biased with guns. Even the dealers with virtually every brand and model are biased.

I like Glocks, but the ergonomic grips don't fit my fingers so I had to get an XD. I am perfectly happy with my XD9 SC.

I always see grip safety being good.. maybe bad during a grappling situation. The infamous shot that rings out when wrestling for a gun. I can't see a situation where I'd want to shoot without a good grasp on the grip.

    Ergonomics are too subjective.

  • glock ripoff.....

  • great review, I like both guns, XD does have great aspects of their guns, but I do prefer glock because of reliability and they feel better when gripping them. Plus I have never saw the torture tests that I have seen glocks go through done on any other guns. Not that they don't exist, just haven't seen them.

  • Springfield is only licenced importer and distributor,

XD is developed and produced by Croatian firearms manufacturing company

    HS Produkt.

SO IT IS NOT either Austrian nor American

  • xd is much better than glock, and xdm is even better

  • AUSTRIA Ha!!

    Stay American

Own xd40 subcompact 2500+rounds never jammed

  • @hollyjosh2k3 But the Springfield XD is not American, it's Croation. It's called HS2000 but called XD and Springfield is the exclusive distributor in the US.

  • @hollyjosh2k3 xd is croatian?

  • @hollyjosh2k3 the XD is from Croatia...

  • @hollyjosh2k3 Springfield bought the blueprint of hs produkt. it's a croatian gun. google "hs 2000" and "hs-9". nothing american on that.

  • @hollyjosh2k3

buy american you say? Why, because your patriotic, you love your country? because you care about your country's economy? Well here's some info you should know my friend, many Hondas are actually made in the united states, ohio to be in fact. Some GMs are made in foreign countrys. As for the Springfield XD, it is not made in the United states, it is made in Croatia. And most Springfield 1911 frames come from Brazil. That is the truth you should know friend, and I'm american.

  • I bought a used xd45 with the 1911 type safety. I like having the manual safety, but has there been any issues with this model?

  • I've shot both in .40 and really like both. The differences in the feel of each of them to me are not positive or negative. I like them both just as much as the other.

  • xd are nice though il stick with my glock for the shooting i do

  • you spelled 'philosophy' wrong. Lol. thanks for the review though.

  • Good review but it sounds like your review has more to do with what you like and what you don't like versus "is this gun good or bad and why"

  • whatever , for my money I have and will go XD

  • It may have been posted already by someone else, but my G17 has a loaded chamber indicator. Mine's a gen3. It was stated at 08:35 that the Glock didn't have one.....unless I read that note wrong.

  • I personally love my XD45 Compact. I have small hands and it is the only double-stack .45 that I can shoot comfortably (Typically I even have some trouble with 1911's that have a longer trigger or wide grips). I have bench-rested it at 25 yds, and the groups would be adequate for a target pistol. I describe it to friends as a more ergonomic glock.

  • Sig blows away both of those.

  • @KiloLima39 true but sig cost way more

  • glock is a good springfield Alternative

  • guns rock

  • wdf XD has a 19 mag also

  • nutnfancy is absolutely correct that the XD has copied many of the aspects of one of the most successful, if not the most successful plactic pistol ever made. Do you honestly think the engineers did not study a Glock to come up with their XD? However, I believe both handguns are exceptional and it boils down to a matter of individual preference. I'm unbiased in this debate because I'm a Beretta owner.

  • I hate when all the comments are paragraphs

  • Police departments love the Glock because it is simple, practically falls apart upon dissassembly and is easy to clean and maintain. However the Springfield

XD/XDM DOES have a fully supported barrel ramp and chamber the Glock DOES NOT. Glock fans try to dismis this in every forum argument but deep down inside the know that XD/XDM owners are right. The Glock is an inferior weapon compared to the XD, the plastic sights and trigger should be a dead giveaway from the get go.

  • Im amazed by some people. There is no perfect gun for everybody, we all know that. However spare us with your "kaboom" comments. These are completely misleading and simply irrelevant. Given the amount of Glocks on the market, the amount of issues that arise are VERy, VERY minimal. Many elite forces use Glocks, as well as the majority of law enforcement. What are you trying to disprove? History? Fact? Proven Performance? They are quality guns. you should be happy to have such a design available.

  • @keeponkeepinon88 Obviously you are a sheeple. Any handgunner worth his salt knows an all metal semi-auto pistol such as the Beretta 92, S&W 59 series or 1911 are the best designs available and far exceed any polymer frame design.

  • I've tried glocks..tried xd's ( own an xd.45 ) i can shoot the xd well...i hate the way a glock feels in my hand...that being said...i can't knock it...i ended up buying a pair of S&W M&P...it combines what i like about both the xd and glock.

if i had to choose a go to war gun from my small collection it would be my sig or the M&P...the XD would be my backup

  • My Springfield XD-45 will shoot cast conical lead/alloy bullets but it does not like TMJ cast bullets, found that out with a 1911 shooter friend. Otherwise it will reliably feed any other FMJ, or JHP made. 2000 rds- 1800 230gr. FMJ ,185 FMJ, 100 185JHP 50 of which were 185 + P which an ultrasweet loading for .45ACP with 4" barrel.

  • Funny he never mentions the Glock kabooms or the fact that lead bullets is not recommended for the glock. Do the XD have problems with these? Just wondering.

  • @IcarusX72 xd can shoot lead bullets.

  • @1212myusername Thanks for the info, I feel better. I just bought mine a week ago and waiting for the tax stamp to put it in a Roni Carbine.

  • I think this guy's years of shooting Glock has made him married to the glock. It is pretty apparent he is biased. I wonder if he shoots the xd for a few months and gets off his glock covenant if he will have a different view.

  • @IcarusX72 after using glocks for decades, people cant pick up a new gun without heavy bias. both guns are proven, shoot whatever is comfortable to you. i own both and would trust my life to either, but i do prefer my XDs slightly. i hate how everything is automatically compared to glock, and if its not the same design its automatically a lesser pistol. my opinion: review the gun for what it is, dont compare it to YOUR favorite gun, it doesnt give justice to the other one.

  • Glock, plastic trigger and sights. Springfield XD steel trigger and sights. Similar capacity and weight. Complaining against an added safety(s) seems pre-school temper tantrumish since the extra safetys don't intefere with rapid operation. No mag safety here. The XD offers more solid construction. Better ergonomics. Both offer many sight and holster options but importantly THE XD HAS A FULLY SUPPORTED BARREL RAMP AND CHAMBER SORRY GLOCK WHORES YOUR WEAPON DOESN'T.

  • XD9 has Safety...Glock Doesn't

  • revolver is better

  • there are many reason why i didn't choose a glock, one is that its too ugly, i can't stand looking at that thing, so i got my self a revolver, train it everyday/weekend and now is pro at shooting revolver

  • Nutnfancy,

You're wrong about increased weight serving no purpose. Actually the increased weight of the gun is exactly where it trumps the glock hands down. If you're a Glock man you either have heard of "exploding glocks" or pretended like you haven't heard of it happening. The XD has a reinforced chamber that in the case of anything going wrong, it doesn't blow up in your face like Glocks can (and have done).

  • @B3N1706 Have glocks blown up in your face? -- Veri

  • @nutnfancy Nope, I went with an XD and don't have to worry about it. Others haven't been so lucky though. Seriously, look it up. There are reports from officers and civilians. My point wasn't to knock GLOCKs. Chances are it won't happen to you, BUT to knock the XD because of a better quality measure is ridiculous.

  • @B3N1706

I also went with the XD simply because of the poor safety on the glocks. I've read about MANY reports of accidental discharges on glocks. A true safety would've prevented those accidents.

  • @B3N1706 there are more glocks than any other gun, which partially explains their failure rate. however, glock knows about the chamber issue and they fail to fix it because supporting the chamber would potentially cause feeding problems. glock is willing to sacrifice safety and overall reliability for better feeding, yet most of the koolaid drinkers fail to acknowledge it. still, i love glocks and i own a few, but they arent the greatest pistol to grace the human race.

  • @nutnfancy I had a Glock 21 blow up in my hands in 2004 with a Hornady TAP +P in the chamber. I caught a few bits of shrapnel (tiny, really) in my upper chest, but the Glock was toast.

I've owned a Springfield XD .45 for 4 years and have put about 2,500 rounds through it without it exploding even once.

The weight difference caused by heavier duty parts in the Springfield are well worth it when there's less likelihood that when I need it, my sidearm won't blow up in my hands.

  • @nutnfancy ive had a slide break off while racking it

  • @nutnfancy ive had a slide break off while racking it

  • @nutnfancy well played sir

  • @nutnfancy you know that there is a 32 round mag for the xd 9

  • @nutnfancy

Unless you're masochistics, you'll carry a full size gun for a couple months then stop. Until I could afford a better quality pistol I carried a sigma 9mm in an uncle mikes iwb holster for 2.5 years

  • @B3N1706 weren't all the reported barrel explosions due to the lack of knowledge the owners had on the fact that glock factory barrels are not meant for lead bullets? every report I've read and research states so.... a simple lone wolf barrel and common sense fixes that. the rifling in the factory barrel is meant for jacketed bullets only. I own an xd 45 tactical, gen 3 g35, gen4 g23, g22 and g24..... love em all :)..

  • @B3N1706 glocks don't blow up in people faces, infact that rarely happens with any gun let alone a glock. get a clue you fuck.

  • @B3N1706 Never once in my years of using glocks have I heard of them blowing up. If they do, I am sure it is about as common as any other reliable gun blowing up. Glock is a very well made pistol as well as the xd. I personally have an xd and love it but I still love the glocks and have heard nothing bad about either one.

  • @B3N1706 yeah i heard something about that, with shooting heavy reloads because the chamber is only like 60% enforced or something like that? idk maybe im wrong. i heard there was a space in there and heavier rounds were blowing them up.

  • @B3N1706 What? blow up? when have glocks ever consistantly done that??

  • @B3N1706 : You posted "If you're a Glock man you either have heard of "exploding glocks" or pretended like you haven't heard of it happening."

    Objection: hearsay. Sustained.

  • @B3N1706 yup i can personally justify a xd over glock. if i wanted higher capacity i'd get a bigger mag. glock barrels suck. sure it only happens to some people, and alot of them use reloads, but it shouldnt happen with a gun of the popularity and respect that the gloc has. and so far they havent done much to combat that. totally agree with ya.

  • @B3N1706 And also those of you who are familiar with physics, more weight means less observed recoil, the xd sight off target time is observed lower than the glock.

  • @B3N1706 btw he forget to mention that xd can fire any kind of ammunition, even lead bullets, but in glock due to rifling is not good news...just to mention

  • Accuracy mainly comes from the shooter, but i understand that some of the accuracy comes from the gun.

  • if you have a good design like a glock, why not copy it. i dont see the big deal about how similar the xd is to the glock.

  • If you havent already, cheack out the Sig Sauer P232 pistol, its a smaller type pistol with an easy basic disign that is pretty dang accuate. It also feels good shooting, but its expensive.

  • good gun if ur looking to buy it. be nice thoe if he shot it thoe

  • Acuuracy is all in the person holding the weapon. I have owned both and am more accurate with the XD. As for the simlar design......both are made in austria. Also the XD was placed through the same "torture" test as the glock and passed with flying colors by guns and ammo magazine I belive it was and also by the law enforcement agency I work for.

  • @MrCrochunter wrong, they are not both made in austria....xd is made in croatia.

  • People need to know that the XD 9mm has BLUED 18-round mags made by Mec-Gar, it's the actual round count that the full-size XD 9mm is capable of, but it would THEN BE TAKING BUSINESS AWAY FROM THE 19+1 XDM! I wish a lot of vid's have notes, such as Mec-Gar making 17, and 18 round mags for Beretta's, Sig's,Ruger's,XD,etc. So, if you want the XDM capabilities with an XD price tag, pick up some 18-rounders from Mec-Gar! If Chuck Taylor says its the first true 21 century pistol, it merits a look!

  • i have both and I love my xd 40

  • you can get black mags. also you can purchace 30 rd mags for 11 dollars online

  • you can get 30+ rd mags for the xd...for 11 dollars. and i have put 2000 rds through my xd with no ftfs.

  • jebo te glock -.-

  • My only gripe with glock is the lack of a real safety.

  • @tradernorton05 I agree, the glock trigger is not REALLY A SAFETY.GREAT GUN, but the trigger 'safety' seems more a cosmetic device as it keeps the trigger from going back when cocking it, and along with MOST Safe action triggers, if something gets in ur triggers way enough to pull a regular NON 'USA' trigger, its gonna go bang on the 'safe triggers'. IMHO, why I prefer the XD-SC to Glock 26(plus 13+1 from factory vs Glocks 10+1), and XDM's over Glocks. Glocks shot a lotta LEGS in reholstering!

  • If a 1911 (male) had sex with a Glock (Female) the offspring would be a Springfield XD.

  • @eastofakron2 i think the 1911 should be female because its a whole lot better looking :)

  • I think the saftey on the handle is perfect. The gun knows that when the rear saftey is engaged that it has the authorization to send rounds down the barrel. As opposed to a wounded person who grabs his droped pistol and accidently touches the trigger sending a round unintentionally. Or a bad guy fighting you for your glock pushing the trigger. The only thing I don't like about the xd is the gaping hole in the rear of the slider for "things" to fall into. IE sand, pebels.

  • just recently got xd9 used. didn't shoot yet. slide is really hard to pull back. should it just be cleaned and oiled up a bit?

  • XD beats the glock hands down

  • Team Glock much?....

  • Love my XD-40 sub-compact, over 1,000 rounds no fouls. Everything I ask it to

  • I used to own an xd sub. It was more accurate than my g17 and g19. The trigger pull was sweeter too. The xd has a taller slide, and the finish on my xd was horrible.

  • I like you nutnfancy. I watch a lot of your vids, but I have to say you come off as a little biased, as do most glock users. In my experience over the years a lot of the glock fanatics lean toward their glocks even if another gun does a better job at something. So as much as I love you and your reviews (been a long time subscriber), you also come off a little biased and I think you would still push the glock as a better gun even if the XD was better beyond a doubt. YMMV this is just how I feel.

  • Sorry nutn I still like my dx better than my glocks.

  • Sorry nutn I still like my xd more than my glocks.

  • i prefer the xd, to each his own

  • That "texture tape" i guess that's on that Glock. Where would someone get that at?

  • Please watch on my channel “Innocents Betrayed The History of Gun Control” and my heart goes out to families that are hurt by this tragedy. I would have helped protect you with my ar-15 against that crazy shooter if I was was there.

  • combat/service pistol nothing beats glock, theres just no argument. for a target, competition, and all around fun to shoot purposes yes there are going to be lots of things that are equal or better than glock. to each his own

  • @tdryan242 bs. the beretta 92 italy is the best service gun because it has a way better trigger and when you pull it out of your holster its not hot and it feels 10 times better in the hand and it has a 5 inch barrel making even the worst shooter an expert and it's a jam free design, i have a glock 19,22,26,and 17 and they have all jammed except the 26, my beretta 92 never ever ever jams not even on shitty brown bear ammo. And if glock is so much better why is the price lower than the 92?

  • made in croatia. p.s.

You do a great job nutnfancy

  • Just bought an XD9 and yes factory mags say 16 round, but I managed to squeeze 17 rounds into both of my factory mags.

  • I own a an XD 45 and I think this review was biased for one thing I work in for a sheriff's office and three people who own glocks have had accidentally fired their glock pistols one of them resulting in an injury.. and I have yet to hear of any one every having an accident with the XD. Also I have tried other pistols and I find that I am more accurate with the XD and I have tried glock, ruger, Smith and wesson, and barreta. I really don't think this guy cares for anything not Glock!!

  • @lonewolf031 - - I agree with you lonewolf. Not blasting the XD from what i can see but def favors Glock.

Glock is okay...nothing wrong with them, just not sure i'd agree that the Glock beats out the XD series.

  • JUST GOT A XD9 AND I GOT 17 ROUNDS INTO FACTORY 16 ROUND MAGS

  • Just bought an XD9 and yes the factory clips say 16, but i got 17 in both clips that came with the gun.

  • I work as a security officer and I'm carying HS 2000 (SA XD). It's a great gun, accurate, feels good in my hand, not much of a recoil, easy to maintain, easy to carry. Would recomend it to anyone.

  • I also liked my XD9, but did not like the hand to bore axis, but like you said brother, in the 9mm it's nominal anyhow... Also I do not like that grip safety as well. Bothersome safety.

  • lol i just got the springfield and it rlly fits in my hand better the glock felt awkward in my hand for some reason

  • @kisameondrugs Please re-read your post... try to spell and write complete sentences, lends credibility to your posts... just some constructive critisism, anti-gun folks already think we gun enthusiasts are morons, let's not feed that notion by writing posts that make us look like idiots.

  • The grip of the XD series is a bit smaller, which was perfect for my wifes hands. She actually started shooting with a Glock 23 (.40 with 4" barrel), but it was really cool to see her get excited about the comfort the XD afforded her. It also showed instantly in her shooting. She now has the XD service model 4" in .40, and couldn't be happier.

  • good glock alternative??? Glock is weak, the xd is way a better shooter then glock, and is way more robust. plus it's way more safe. Glock's ok if you don't mind a pistol that 's like a toy.

  • @tyewalkerfm1 If you can put it to a mother fuckers head, and kill him with one shot... What the fuck does it matter?

Murder is murder. Defense is defense.

  • @tyewalkerfm1 I can tell you have no actual experience with glocks...

  • @Kylef7735 only broken ones.....

  • Glock kicks ass thats all there is too it

  • I know you covered it, but I do understand why the XD isn't necessarily just a rip off of the Glock. Grip safety, 1911 grip angle, ambi mag release, metal sights; all extras that some people want that the Glock doesn't provide. Don't get me wrong, I prefer the Glock; as you say, your mileage may vary. Great review!

  • ...represents the first quantum leap in handgun technology since the Glock first appeared in the mid-1980s. I agree with those who've said that it must withstand the test of time before unequivocal endorsement of it can be made, but add that it certainly shows all the signs of being a big-time winner! It's without a doubt a true 21st century pistol and from what I've seen so far, a good one, at that. Check out the XD-9. Like me, I think you'll find it to be a heck of a handgun.” – Chuck Taylor

  • I shot everything, ended up liking the XD best. Not because of any particular reason other than it just seemed to fit me the best (out of the USP, G17, M&P9, SR9, XD, and I can't remember what else.) I shot them all side-by-side in one afternoon. It just...felt right.

  • Glocks are great. They are lightweight and are topnotch for fast repetative shooting, but for 1 shot 1 kill and accuracy, nothing beats my CZ Sp-01 Shadow.
