  • laaaaaaaag

  • thats just sick<.<

  • It's been a while, if I have to cap something I use Windows and Camstudio, but I believe there is gvidcap/xvidcap for linux. Google it you'll find it.

I'm having a lot of trouble installing Compiz on my debian/KDE4 system. I got compiz on the system but I can't figure out how to make it my window manager.

  • Install CCSM

  • u ever hear of hypercam 2???yah use it instead of holding the fuckin camera next to the screen

  • Think before you speak so you don't embarrass yourself, this is *nix, not Windows. -_-

  • mmm so it is.

  • actually the only reason I took this video was cos I had got myself a camera and was all I decided to film :$

  • lol!

    1. There is no Shareware called "Hypercam 2" on Unix/Linux-GNU!

    2. Desktop captur applications eat the system ressources like the cookie monster cookies.

  • great, I wish I could use opensuse

  • it isn't useful - I played around with it and disabled it after some days.

  • it depends on what you are doing with your computer... i use it in linux mint and i dont wanna miss it!

  • Really cool, but is it very useful? Like Aero, is Aero useful?

I love OpenSuSE though, migrated from Ubuntu to SuSE today :D

  • i reakon like if u got the hardware may aswell make use of it... i reakon it is pretty useful actually. like seeingwhere windows minize to, expose...

  • Hmm, you're right. I use Exposé (On Mac though) every day. But, not everything of it is useful, like for instance, wobbly windows.

  • Nice video, do you have any issues with a rapidly increasing load_cycle_count on your laptop?

  • Uh No. It is a desktop btw

  • this fixed in opensuse 11.0 bro

  • Yeah i tried opensuse 11 and found that it wasnt raising the LCC at all hardly. too bad ubuntu hasn't fixed it in intrepid. :(

  • Yes, bad for ubuntu...but you can fix it...editing /etc/hdparm.conf

    :D

  • wats the one with the globe thing???

  • Globe thing?

  • It's me btw. Don't know what to make of that Port Sunlight vid but the music is apt.

  • Ah I didn't realise it was "you"!

Music apt for this post or the Port Sunlight one which was the Eagles: "New Kid in Town"

  • Port Sunlight. "New Kid in Town" you like for a bit then by the end of it you're sick of it.

  • Kooool! What's that music in the background?

  • I think Art Tatum

  • Hey Rogan what widget is that, where you have some files and icons in your desktop?, I can't find it anywhere

  • Hi arscek,

I believe it is called Folder View.

  • Yeah! I have a reasonably low-spec machine too.

dell 9150 - so literally off the shelf job - no mods

  • Compiz Fusion is awsoem i have had alot of fun with it

  • Using KDE 4.1 right now. I must say even without Compiz Fusion its pretty sweet... except for the NVidia driver issue.... If NVidia don't fix it I'm gonna have to consider other hardware options cause if I have to choose, KDE 4.1 stays and NVidia goes. :P
