I can't believe noones said this; The "Run" option is a game. You just need to unlock it first by getting 2,000+ points in Space Fever II. If you finish Run in under 16 seconds you get the "real" credits and unlock photo B30.... Yes, I used wayy to much time with my GameBoy Camera and Pocket Printer (oh yes, there was a pocket printer, bit smaller than the one in this video) =P

I mean if you've got some way to dump Game Boy cartridges and their saves onto your computer, then with a lot of hacking and messing around with the save file, I do suppose you could get your pictures out of there and have them in whatever photo format on your computer to print it from your printer... But I really wouldn't say it'd be worth the hassle =P

Ok, so the paper is 38mm thermal paper. You can get it online, and the pictures should come out nice, dark, and clear. I'm planning to buy some this weekend and see how well it comes out, I'm expecting it to be the way it originally was. From all the comments I see online it just seems the paper doesn't stay good forever. Don't bother buying the Nintendo paper on eBay unless you just want a boxed copy.

Man I loved my Gameboy Camera. It pretty much dominated my everyday life in 1998 and 1999. Used to bring it with me to school everyday. My printer won't even power on anymore :( I was surprised because Nintendo stuff never breaks. The pictures faded over time anyway. I still have a book from 1998 with my printouts and you can BARELY make out anything, but it is kind of cool to look at them 13 years later. @mason0190 I keep getting a lot of these kinds of questions. Hopefully everyone sees this comment. The answer is yes. It works with every model Game Boy because it's just a regular Game Boy game in terms of software. The only model it doesn't work with is the Game Boy Micro because the GBM doesn't contain the original Game Boy chipset. Literally every other model works though. Hope this helps you, and everyone else.

The reason I ask is that I once tried to trade between two Pokemon games (a Yellow and a Silver) using two GBAs and a GBA cable, and it didn't work. I kind of get the feeling you need the older hardware for this sort of thing.

I myself own 3 cameras (I'm trying to collect 1 in each of the basic colors, I just need yellow), and would like to get a printer eventually.

I only saw the ad once in my whole life on the TV. What sucked the most that I was the only one who owned it in like my whole school. Everyone had gameboys, but not the camera. It was really overlooked, but at the same time pretty crappy anyway.

Now I have the 8-bit Pocket Camera and am using my PoGo Printer to do the same effect. Was so excited when it came out a few weeks ago.

I decided to get my old gameboy out, and mess with the gameboy camera, but all the pictures are white, (not blank) and so is the screen when I try to take pictures.. :sadface:

@Isakuma Your lens could be broken, or, your contrast could be jacked. Use the d-pad up/down and left/right on the camera screen to adjust the contrast (you should see sliders on the border of the screen). If that does nothing for you, then yeah, it may be actually broken.

@Isakuma It sounds like the internal battery gave out. I'm not sure if the Gameboy Camera used a different type of battery in relation to other Gameboy games, but if you feel brave enough to go inside with a screwdriver and see you might be able to replace the battery and everything should save like normal again.

I actually bought MY two Game Boy Cameras off of ebaY, but I bought a Dandelion-colored Game Boy Color from CC&G, and it was in near-mint condition!

Also, @anarchy202044: I'll have to try that sometime. My printer only seems to print well on one roll of paper, even though all of the rolls that it came with (minus the one it prints well on) were still factory-sealed. Strange.
