from the cd "negra, si tu supieras", with pepe habichuela as first guitar a co-composer. the 3 rumbas are poems of cuban Nicolas Guillén;Tangos de la Plaza by José Bergamín... Alegrías "si mi voz" from a poem of Rafael Alberti... In my opinion, it was a very important album in his career (orig. released in 1992, the year Camaron died) but i was not pleased with some arrangements (as the elect guitars and chorus) in the rumbas. Hear the seguiriya&cabal, El vaporcito, or the fandango "Grazalema"
Ah yes it's a tangos and not a bulerias, thanks for correcting me. Anyway, Morente's death was a sad loss to all of humanity-his music really touched alot of people around the world. I haven't heard this piece for a number of years and have definitely not heard it on Youtube before. Was El Bola playing on this song, along with Paquete, Montoyita, and El Negri? Feliz Navidad y prospero año nuevo!
Hi @takfornaten, the rhythm of the song is tangos, 4/4, part of the lyrics are popular, part may be from Morente, he pleas for a friend of his to be released from jail at some point of it, round the end.. again dont know if that's his own, but it seems like it. Part of it may be from a Spanish poet. Venta Zoraida aparently used to be a meeting point bar-restaurant round Granada where may artists would meet. Glad you like it!
