Thanks for your thoughts. I no longer have the Majesty. Traded it on a Stardust this past April. The Majesty was a great model, but I just outgrew it.
Sounds like we both do the same things musically. I played the bars and supper clubs in the 70's around the Detroit area. Check out my "It's Alright With Me" I did on the Mjaesty. I set it up to resemble Kai Winding and J.J. Johnson doing their signiture song when they did jazz concerts. Try a Stardust sometime. You'll love it.
Good job, Jerry. My wife and I have a Lowrey Majesty at home in Florida and we love it. Also, I perform four nights a week at a local restaurant, using an Estey Freedom II organ, a Roland electronic piano and a brand new Yamaha MM6 synthesizer (I wish I could have a Majesty there as well, but it's way too big). "Lover" is part of my repertoire, which includes jazz standards, movie and show tunes, bossa nova, romantic Latin and other international music.
It's always nice when a young man or woman takes an interest in music. You have a instrument that offers a variety of sounds and effects for any style or mood.
To access these choices just push the Genius buttons 1&2, shut off the flutes on the upper manual, and scroll thru the 224 choices by pushing the up and down arrows in the information center. Try each voice, and think about how it could be utilized in a song you play.
I am 22 years old from Pittsburgh and i have a majesty organ also. I wanted to tell you that you are playing extremely well. I work at the local piano and organ dealer and I don't see folks knowing how to use all the features you have. Keep it up!
