@stang46281 No they don't. Watchmen exists in its own limited 'verse. Alan Moore wrote an original setting and set of characters because DC realised that if they allowed him to use their recently acquired line of former Charlton characters as planned, several of them would end up dead or retired from crimefighting, or otherwise unusable for future series. All the characters in Watchmen are based on superhero archetypes, and are similar to various DC Universe characters, though.
I just finished watching this movie. It has evrything a good movie should have. Action, politics, intrigue, betrayal. Factors of good and evil. A lesson about life.
He said at 1:16 you pretentious dbag. There is a song change. I have every right to find this movie garbage if for nothing else the fact they marketed it as a super hero action movie. Watch that trailer and tell me that's not the case. The action scenes were so non eventful they may as well not have happened. Oh and those other two movies I apparently "like" were garbage like this film
@sleekvitamind It's not an action movie. Perhaps it was mismarketed, but that's no reason to dislike a film whose point lay elsewhere. I haven't watched it, so I can't judge, but the graphic novel had very little action but was fantastic purely because of the strong characterizations/moral questioning.
@laifalbert And, eh, he can dislike it for whatever reason he wants. Disliking something for being mismarketed is a fairly lame reason to dislike it, and shows no engagement with the actual material, but he's still entitled to feel cheated or however he wants to feel about it.
Of course, it's marketed that way for the same reason Watchmen is about superheroes at all - superheroes are their own market brand, and Watchmen is about critically rethinking the content of that brand.
I actually love this movie.

can someone tell if these heros actually encounter other DC heros like superman or batman in the DC comics?

It takes someone who truly appreciates a good movie to not whine about how little action there was.

@sleekvitamind Your the most closed minded human being to live on this planet. Your that guy that watches G.I Joe and Transformers. So sad.
