Damn, I had been looking for this video for years!!!! God damn! Its even iller then I remember. I didnt remember kids breakin in the hallway, thats real hiphop for you right there. Fuck all the modern day fake shit!!! Bring the real back!!
Puddles of H20, was the Peas first single from Ruthless records and was a dope and pretty innovative video for it's time. I even have the 12" single and what was going to be part of the album, leaked to me by someone inside the ruthless camp. Nevertheless I think they would have eventually blown up, but they never released the album due to Eazy's death. I wish Wascals and the Peas would have did more stuff together. Most of the Instrumentals of the songs are also on the CD that's available.
I think Amazon has it for like under $8.00. The Wascals def...remind me of my youth. They were clicked up at one point with The Pharcyde, A.T.B.A.N.N KLAN (now known as Black Eyed Peas) and Even Eazy-E. Due to the fact that at one point The PEAS were signed to ruthless records. You can hear Black Eyed Peas and Buckwheed on Eazy's Merry Muthafukkkin Christmas song from the 5150 EP.
I don't know the whole story on why the album never dropped, and I don't feel like reading through all the comments to see if anyone knew why either. I just know that half way through they called it quits. You can pretty much pick up the album on every and all hip hop and online webstores. It's called The Wascals - Greatest Hits.
Yeaaa mayne school wasnt our shit but the time we spent there was just like we were in this video just about everyone in this video went to our school shout to yall!!! W.

Um, exaggerate much, D33? A band that was so lame that its one album was blocked from even being released by its own record label makes more money in a day than my family makes in a decade? Go look up how much doctors make, then go look up how much the Wascals make flipping burgers or stealing hubcaps. This song was never played in clubs around the world, unless you count Chuck E. Cheese. Admit it, you people only like this song because it was released on a cool label and had a cool producer.
Dont know the label, ond't give a fuck about the producer, I am, however, familiar with this flowstyle and these cuts. I'll agree, I don't have a Wascals CD, but I do vaquely remember them from the days where rap was rap. Notice, how they have an original sound and yet you can tell it has that early 90s type style. Point is this, the linguistic genius is not only superior in rhyme selection but also how it intersects with the beat.
More talent in this one song than hiphop in all of 2005-2009.
im just glad it came out at all. hard to believe delicious vinyl would shelve this project after dropping 2 videos/singles. Wonder what the story was behind that...
It's like a cross between Pharcyde and Leaders Of The New School. Shame it didn't see the light of the day at the time, it seems so well done they may as well have released it.
nah, the light skinned dude is Spit-Anky and his actual name is Kamau Halloway. He went on to have brief roles in Beverly hills 90210 and he even spit some shit on Brian Green's Hip-Hop album (LOL) with production from Tre

As good as Buckweed could be (especially w/the headknocking verses he spit on Pharcyde's "Bizzarre Ride II the Pharcyde," album) the rhymes on here are actually pretty weak. No real internal rhymes whatsoever. They also used similar sounding words at the end of four lines or more. Someone told me this video was on here, so I figured I'd go back & see if my opinion of them had changed...nope, still don't like em.
Not true. They were all in their early 20's or so in '94. Buckweed himself had actually tried to do some material w/ Dr. Dre earlier (but his style was too different). Buckweed was around 22 or so when he guest-rhymed on Pharcyde's "Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde." His rhymes here (w/the Wascals) are a lot simpler.
man i had this 12 inch lol used to spit over this shit! i could never find the album though! i jus figured i would type it in to see if i could find this vid! dope track!! young bucks dont have a clue!!
