  • just out of curiosity what texture did you use for the gun because I'm working on a similar project & really need to find some good quality metal textures that can be used for firearms. Any info & help'd be appreciated. Thanks!

  • awesome

  • @stunner8000

    YOU SIR, ARE FUCKING DUMB!

  • @stunner8000 Wow, you are pretty damn stupid.

  • very nice job for a 2D image, nice work!

  • Holy crap, this was awesome. Can you make a more slower and speaking tutorial of how you did this id really like to learn how. That and just watching doesn't really do it for me =/

  • @stunner8000 : 1st off it was made back in 2006 (over 5 years ago) I didn't have a mic back then, 2nd it doesn't say it's a tutorial, just a recording of me painting a quick gun concept, 3rd I use the selection tools, the airbrush with dark and light colours and some basic cloning...hardly rocket science.

  • @3DGameResources It DOES say it's a tutorial, in the description of the video.

  • Question. The barrel of the gun at around :57 was that overlayed? Or like a reverse overlay or something. In practicing my own, I wondered if I just needed another layer, but that didn't seem to help. It just shaded over what already existed.

  • i will create this in real life

  • great texturing work :D looks very realistic m8

  • Nice rendering skills, but functionally, the gun is pretty useless. The sights aren't even on the same plane of sight.

  • I never hadn`t thought to draw gun image with Photoshop CS haha.. I subscribe if you make a tutorial haha..

  • I was looking for something like this, thanks. If only I had a scanner, i would draw a design on paper first. :(

  • LOL @ QiwiMAn

  • hehehe, must be an expensive gun to manufacture. all parts seem to be machined instead of stamped.

  • man i wish this was really a tutorial lol

  • how did you get that metalic texture effect? I have been looking al over internet and found no tutorial that could help me (Except one..but the video was expired *Screw you filefront!*

  • nice gun! looks like a futuristic version of the mac 10!!!!

  • excellent tutorial!

  • woooooow thats fckn perfect man. awesome!!!!

  • Awesome job man! That really inspired me thanks

  • Nice.

  • wow nice, teach meh XD

  • wow that metal texture really brought it to life.. i'm trying to paint a picture i drew and need to paint the armour and the gun but i dont know how to make it look like metal and i would really appreciate it if you could tell me how you did it.

  • Very nice for a quick sketch, did you use a wacom tablet?

  • Very nice...!!!Are you using the mouse???

  • thats not photoshop

  • its photoshop elements...

  • When working for games, (something that I've actually tried once) I've noticed that its the small details that make guns really come to life. My main problem with this gun is, the bullet whole is huge for such a small clip sizeits as if its shooting Shotgun slugs.

  • it was a simple 10 minute sketch to show a few techniques, it wasn't intended as a blueprint, but thanks for your feedback!

  • more then 10 minutes because parts are cut out + its sped up

  • A little bit was chopped out in the middle to make it fit the 10 min limit but its not sped up...

  • Mkay, if you say so.

  • @willobeen I can see it happening, somekinda barrel shroud to keep it cool, and if it shot .45's (or 50's?) anyhow, really neat nonetheless.

  • cool metal gun XD

  • must get annoying, painting with an hourglass icon all the time! :-P

    Cool texture btw!

  • The hourglass was added by the recording software I used at the time...I personally couldn't see it whilst painting!

  • wow... good job!1!

  • I don't know if that would be a practical gun for real use, but that's a nice photoshopped picture I have no capacity for photoshop drawing.

  • WOW

  • very cool. im seem like a very good artist, but i wouldnt really call this one "painting" though

  • Where are u supposed to hold your hand when u shoot that gun? not in front of the clip it would get too warm and the clip is too close to the trigger guard...nope wouldnt work :P

  • chill out dude, it's just a picture.. Not a small scale gun that you use in millitary combat!

  • theres a grip before the clip

  • Awesome job, although the trigger needs to be moved to the left a little so that it could be pulled.

  • very nice! Picked up some tips myself from this. Thanx! I am a advanced 3ds max user and LOVE photoshop for making textures.

  • o_O

  • bazukaa is a buble gum lol

  • dude. thats awsome!!!

  • Nice, it looks like a bazooka at 1:50

  • Cool, I think that looks awsome!

  • Shading is really good and good use of transform. Would have been better with a commentary though.

  • Thanks, yeah its was one of the first I recorded as a test and I didn't have a mic at the time ;( Hopefully I'll do a few more in future with commentary etc

  • WICKED!

  • that is awesome!

  • Should have given it a stock! looks too small!

  • sweet gun man this vid was hot!

  • A-W-E-S-O-M-E!

Thats so cool, and so simple!

But more commented tutorial would be nice!

  • wow! if i didn't have watched this video, i would have said that the gun was modelled in 3D. nice shading, very impressive.

  • damnn please send me a tutorial if you have on very nice work

  • awsome, looks real

  • WOW!!! very nice!!

  • Wow realy great job !

  • shittttttttttttttttttttttttt man!!!! THANTKS FOR A TUTORIAL!!! make more plx

  • I will be making some more in future with commentary ;)

  • that is so good, but tell us what to do

  • Theres a couple of minutes that I chopped out to fit the 10 minute thing but only a couple ;)

  • done in 10 minutes!?

  • nice

  • very beutiful
