@theEwa2011 So sorry i'm not usually one for writing negative comments but were you around back then? it wasn't all warmth and charm believe me! but i do agree with you- great music!
@theEwa2011 Sorry didn't mean to rag on your memories its nothing personal either, i listen to music alot from this era and get tired of 12 year olds that say they wish they were around back then, honey coating it!i was just saying that every generation has its good and bad times and to be happy with the time they were born into! But appreciate the past.
Can you imagine the look on the judges faces from today's dance shows like 'dancing with the stars ...etc.If the dance broke out in a such a deep passionate kiss and the look they gave one another at the end???????????? i got a bit ferklempt
I'm only in my mid-twenties, but this has been one of my favorite movies since I was a kid. I've always loved the dancing and music -- thanks for posting this! :)
MAS QUE UNA MUJER.....QUE BELLOS TIEMPOS.....NADA QUE VER CON LA FORMA DE VESTIR DE HOY.....MUCHO MENOS CON LOS PENSAMIENTOS TAN POBRES DE ESTA EPOCA DE LA MUSICA......NO TENGO NADA CON LA MODA DEL PERREO Y ESAS COSAS.....PERO SI HAY UNA GRAN DIFERENCIA....INCLUSO EN LA FORMA DE VESTIR....HABIA MAS CLASE...ELEGANCIA
After watching the movie like zillion times, Tony was mad because he and Stephanie won the dance contest based on politics, not merit. The spanish couple won second place, but i have to agree the spanish couple dance act was way better!
The film came out when I was in high school and I saw it in the theatre 18 times. I saw it again on the big screen just 2 nights ago as part of the Hershey Theatre's classic film series. I'm glad to say that hundreds of people were in attendance.
I remember a local theatre of the day celebrating "1-year of continuous play" for the film. Can you imagine that in this day and age?!?

One of many great scenes from a movie that never loses his charme.
shane13233 1 month ago 2
In the 1970's you could either roller skate to this music or dance to it, now music isn't very good these days.

I remember back in the 1970's the original version was immensely popular and then they released a "clean" rated PG version for kids to see.

@shelleyinthecity Yep i remember that. That is the version they would show on channels like TBS and whatnot.
