Haven't heard this song in years. Good to see Forbert still performing. Saw him in 1979 in Madison, WI. Very good back-up band. Will watch for him out west in the future. Loved the Oil Song and Laughter Lou. What memories!

Great song, but disservice to Steve. Much higher quality available on UTube -- esp 1979 produced video of this wonderful song. Whoever put this junk up should take it down!
One of my first memories when I was 5 years old was my parents listening to Steve Forbert on trips to the Oregon coast. I go right back there whenever I hear his songs. He doesn't come to the west coast very often but I finally got a chance to see him at a show in Portland, OR. His songs will always have a special place for me...
I want to cry everytime I hear this. It was 1982 and I was thinking of asking out a girl to my prom. driving down the road a cold southeast afternoon I heard this song. Now I am 45 and cant find her anywhere- even with the internet....
we always talk with him after the shows, Steve is a sweet easy going real down to earth kinda guy. One of the good guys indeed ; ) we see him about 5 times a year, we just love his shows, it's like we are all part of it !!
5 times a year?! How lucky you are, I'm lucky if he makes it to SoCal once a year. I have tickets for McCabe's 4/17. Seventy people is a sold out house, should be great!
@gofuckyourself101 Stevie likes east coast jersey shore and Pa. so...yes, we are very fortunate ;O) looking forward to next month, finally found an LP for him to sign for me!!!
The memories come flooding bac... just luved this guy great 2 see him here...
