Pink Misery (Album & Alternate Version?)

I have both versions.... bought the album back in 2001 and then downladed an mp3 version with the alternative. I actually prefer steven tyler singing the verse, I just think the song has much more emotion behind it when he sings his part. IMO.

the version with just P!NK is the original version from the CD. if you didn't purchase the cd from the first issue and got the CD later, you got stuck with the Steven Tyler version as they changed it after the original issue of the CD. The version I have from the day the CD was released has only P!NK singing the song

The second version is actually the one that was included on the first pressings of the album...while the the first version was included on the second pressings. I got the cd when it first came out and it had the second on it, and when I had to replace it, it had the first one.

they are both album versions. the first is off the bonus track version of misunderstood with catch 22 at the end and get the party started as track one. other version is off first release of the album with misunderstood as the first track. dunno why the tracks got all swapped. i prefer the first version. when she says "this my first single man" at the end of misunderstood it actually made sense cos it were track 1.

When it was performed live, Steven takes the verse like in the alternate studio version. I love Steven Tyler and I love P!nk, but I prefer hearing her take the lead while he harmonizes. I wonder how the hell they managed to get these two people in the studio together without the universe asploding?

Huh? Pink lists Aerosmith among her musical influences. The song "Mean" sounds like an Aerosmith song to me until she starts singing. Anyway, the guy who wrote the song, Richie Supa, is one of Steven Tyler's best friends.  Or do you mean the strength of their voices together would cause the universe to explode? Their voices blend so well that it's hard to tell that they switch back and forth with the lead throughout the whole song. Gotta be a die hard Aerosmith fan to pick it out.

Haha.. Steven Tyler is still there in the background in the Alternate version, it's just more P!nk and less Steven, I like the Alternate version better.. Steven's voice compliments Pinks :)
