I miss 2001. When mobile phones were simple black and white devices, when the internet was new and Facebook, Twitter etc were unheard of, when people still respected each other, when swearing in the street was less common, when the economy was doing well, when tv shows, films and music were good and most of all... when the Harry Potter revolution started!! :D Although 2001 did have it's problems like 9/11 I still miss those days. Don't know if anyone else agrees but I miss them.

@timmypop1 It got the name "Sorcerer's stone" in the US for some wierd reason. It's called "Philosopher's stone" everywhere else though. But it's not two different versions of the movie, it's just differet names.

It bothers me though, to see the ttle of this being "Sorcerer's stone", because I've always thought of the name as "Philospher's stone" - the original name.

(though the character changed for the worst in the books as well from a helpful, nice, and powerful mentor to a mistrusting, secretive, and sometimes foolish old man. Oh, I forgot, he is now also gay. Thanks for the retcon, Rowling. He was better the first time you wrote him.)

JK Rowling changed the title in the US because, seeing as it was the first book, she was worried that US children who are unfamiliar with the legend of the philosophers stone would think it was a book about philosophy so she changed the title to something that made it more obviously about magic.
