Smallville Siren- Clana fight

I'm sorry but the writers messed up. They should have used this instead of the whole dumb Prometheus suit to break them up. The suit made it seem like they had no choice but to seperate. But this, the fact that Lana in a sense fell from the pedastal Clark had her on, it would have made perfect sense.

Still, I love Lana. She's a strong character. from the beginning she had a hard time with Clark's destiny coming before their relationship. Lois didn't and thats why to Clark came Lois was first.

I am NOT a Clana fan, or even a Lana fan. She started out a whiney, needy, helpless maiden. She then hated Clark for selfish reasons, he was already a wonderful guy to her even when he wasn't saving her behind the scenes, so it shouldn't have mattered whethere he wanted to reveal himself or not. Then she would marry a man who's ethics and motives were always questionable, god knows why. Then when Clark did tell her his secret, it drove her completely power mad, she literally went insane I think

She never helped him at all, but MAN. Clark why did you have to be so hurtful to her in this scene?? Holy cow! He called her on all her faults, and this comes from the guy who "always wants to believe in the best in people", but he completely tore her to the ground one this one. Clark you bastard was that neccesary to be so, mean???

That's just twisting and cherrypicking everything into a hateful view with no account of context and parts even factually incorrect. Watch seasons 1-5 to see how confusing and offensively passive Clark's behaviour towards Lana was, from HER side. In season 5 Clark was the defintion of an imbecile, but of course it's always the woman's fault.

This scene is important, because it let all the issues out, the final scene is better though. Because for once they see eachother's flaws,

@TheMrbollox I own every season of Smallville and disrespected the whole Clana relationship from the very beginning, even before I knew what "youtube" or a "ship" was. I am a woman, and very much believe in equality/diversity in women and men alike. I could go on about my thoughts on Lana in more detail, but I'm pretty sure you've already made up your mind about her a long time ago. Which is cool, but for the life of me I'll never understand why.

Lois Lane being a consolation prize, Chloe somehow inspires heroes, Lana has powers and the main character is also the most uninteresting. That's what happens when they try to milk a show for 10 years when it should have condensed into 5.
