I am a member of a different church but this one here asked me to teach so I will gladly do so since it was really God who commanded that I do way back just before Jesus ascended.

I want to say that I used to be athiest. I used to say to myself "God simply cannot exist because there is no proof. Show me proof, then I will believe." But I was so very broken. Not a night went by when I didn't cry myself to sleep. Then one day, I was invited to church. I decided, hey why not? So I went. It took quite some time for me to let my guard down and accept Jesus into my heart. Now that He's with me, I'm happier than ever. Don't bash religion until you've experienced it.

According to the scriptures, God has ALREADY chosen those who are saved by Jesus Christ. Those whom God intends to save for eternity will be saved, no matter what any humans do. God is not relying on humans to get the job done. he created the universe, perhaps billions of universes so I don't really think God is dependent on humans to accomplish anything.
