When she morphs into a ball, her body is in a fetal position, and the suit literally morphs shape around her to form a perfectally balenced sphere, with parts of the suit (the shoulder armor, I believe) forming an outer shell.

This game is fantastic, this was the first Metroid game i ever played. This was also one of the very few good games on the game cube. Glade i got to play this game while a could, otherwise i would missed out on a fantastic game.

(For example: Shadow of the colossus (ps2) Ico (Ps2) Nocturne (Ps2) Digital devil 1&2 (Ps2) wind waker (Gamecube) Mario double dash (Gamecube) and this game) While the ps3 has few (Bayonetta, demon's souls, Valkyriea and a few other games i can remember (Bad memory)) and the reason i didn't mention the 360 is because it had no fun game (too me) and the wii has too many to count.

@masterpengun Well for me only a few games in this gen really wowed me. Not as much as the the last gen sadly. The PS3 lack really, the only good games so far (to me) are Bayonetta and demon's souls. The 360 had absolutely no games that i personally liked and the WII had few, like SSBB, Sonic and the secret rings, DK country returns, Muramasa, and TvsC. The other gen had more games, but due to You-tube limitations in posting i can write them, but honestly it really is all opinion.

Left for dead is fun and all, but not a game i would go back in play quite as fast, plus to enjoy that game you must have online, and well bothering to pay for X-Box live is pointless for one game, right? The PC version (i have both) have a similar problem, that being i need internet accesses and my brother has the only computer in the whole family that can run it, otherwise i can't. So no reason to place them in my list honestly.

Hey NCS, I don't know if anyone's mentioned this so far, but don't forget the neat trick where you hold B while in the air. If you keep holding B after jumping, the camera will tilt down slightly while in the air. It doesn't make a huge difference, but it feels comfortable to see a little more where you're about to land. And since it tilts more the longer you hold, you get a better view of the landing the further you have to jump.

@ZKoftherebellion I've a theory, though I'm not certain. You can look inside the Morph Ball in this game and see that within it is just a ball of energy. The Chozo talk about leaving behind their physical bodies and becoming different beings at one point, perhaps the technology of the Morph Ball is based on what they used to transfer themselves from physical form into spirit beings. This is pure conjecture though.

@SephirothVsKratos That is a good theory, but don't forget one of the more hilarious pirate logs from later in the game. Minor non-story non-gameplay spoiler I guess? If you scan the right computer in some pirate facility, you get to read that the pirates tried to use Samus' morph ball technology to augment their own troops, but their experiments led to pirates of the less spherical and more mangled variety. They, at least, used the technology to physically compress themselves into balls.

Later in the game there's a Space Pirate console that you can scan that says that the pirates are trying to copy her technology but are stumped on "the curious Morph Ball function. 4 of our testers were horribly broken and mangled when they engaged our Morph Ball prototypes." Granted Space Pirates are of a larger stature than Samus, but it would be tricky to get a human into that ball anyway, especially with the Varia Suit's shoulder armor.
