My big bro went to Grambling.. Shout out! DHester!!C\O 98 I remember this game 2.. Its nothing like that SWAC! I remember the first time i saw Air Mcnair.. He came to our high school and everybody got his autograph.. Great Guy and Dwn 2 Earth.. R.I.P
im not 100% here, but on the first touchdown, it looked like he dropped the ball before any of his feet went passed the line, and when the ball hit the field it was behind the line, good thing there was no replay back then
Wow...an old-fashioned shootout! Alcorn knew how to be in the mix of some great passing games. I remember when they beat Mississippi Valley in 84, 35-28 with 60,000 people watching...that was Valley with Totten and Rice...
Man this was my Freshman year and First ever black college football game (went to Gram) All i remember leading up to this game was AIR MCNAIR AIR MCNAIR!!!! Anda then i was a witness!! Best College QB ive ever seen still cant believe Kendrick #19 match him td for td was a great game if it was a round then it would be an espn instant classic!!! i still tell my friends and co-workers about the time i saw Mcnair in College now i can prove it thanks for the post! if the best blk ath went to HBCU?
@cvmorrow he ended up getting drafted by the Philadelphia eagles. after 2 yrs he was traded to the new orlean saintsfor 2 more years and went to the CFL. He came back to the NFL after getting picked up by the baltimore ravens hte same year they won the superbowl as a widereceiver. kendrick had a career ending injury that season and hasn't played anymore. I am a child hood friend of his and I see him everyonce in a while.

I remember this game. Grambling acted like they had won the Super Bowl! LOL. Steve was the man, though! I went to Alcorn at the same time he did, from 91-95. There was nothing like it! We never lost a game at home when our new stadium opened. The Spinx Jinx lasted for 3 years. RIP Steve!! We Alcornites miss you!!
i'm from mississippi and been a "ALCORNITE" for as long as i can think back and my love for the McNair's started with his brother Fred"Air 1" and when Steve came to the yard, it really changed history for Alcorn State University, pure talent .. and i was greatly hurt by his death, this was more hurting about Micheal Jackson to me, and no one situation gonna change my prospective about a man, he still my HEREO.......... the good die young. STEVE "AIR 2" MCANAIR REWROTE HISTORY WE MISS U.........

I've been in denial that McNair ever lost a game! This confirms that I was truly in denial. To quote a friend, this game was a real barn burner!
