Yougoslav parisan movement was far more organized and powerful than greek pocket of resistance supported by british. So there is no such a thing like "big greek piece of cake " in ww2.And at the end there was no "rusian" but "soviet" army in that time, so you must understand that for soviets in that time greece was unstabile and untrustable somekind of ally.

But you can'y rename one population in one day. Nobody can do that. Not even Tito. I don't understand how you can believe in this story. And what about the people that dont live in that country that left in greece they also sall themself macedonians and people in australia too.

@mpogias13 To acces the mediteranean??/ With what army?? We are two milion people with very small army. Plus we signned documents and changed the constitution not to ask or attack greek land.

@nitroflesh I was talking about Tito, Tito was very powerful, a dictator in Yugoslavia. He renamed the region from Vardaska(or something) to Macedonia. Our problematic government did not respond then because we had other issues.
And as long as your government keeps winning the elections, they will make things only worse by continuing this propaganda. You should be proud of your Slavic roots. You are Slav-Macedonians, but don't have any relation whatsoever with our history. That's all I'm saying.

@mpogias13 Tito was powerful but just imagine how powrfull someone has to be to change a peoples identity. He can rename a country you are right about that but nobody can change what people feel to be. For example: a dictator comes in Greece and say from now on you will not be Greeks any more but Thrakians. Maybe official in paper it will be like that but in the hearts every Greek will feel himself as a Greek. Nobody can chage that. Its the same with us.

@mpogias13 I am proud of my Slavic roots, our history has tons of stuff written about it, but untill now it was forbiden to speak about our Macedonian past from the Tito's comunists. You don't know anything about our history. You only repeat a story that greeks have about us wich is ridiculous.
