I love this song. I love all of Josh Ritters music. I agree with evenmvb this should have many many more views. He is by far the most talented singer/songerwriter of this generation.
He doesn't get air time out here in MA, at least not on any station I've found. When I rode cross country a couple years ago I was giddy to hear him on the radio in a gas station, actually called my brother haha. Its weird tho, he's SO GOOD you'd think everyone would be playing him.
Beautiful music as always - it just keeps getting better everytime I hear it - love the new album - The curse is a amazing piece of artistry -- thanks so much -n see you in Australia again soon I hope
went to see Josh in around four years ago in Dublin, was only 17 at the time. it was a great gig. could name off the top of my head all the songs he sang that night. pure legend.
I can hear Bob Dylan and Eric Clapton. Josh Ritter gives me hope that music will still be inspirational and soothing for the soul someday when I have kids of my own.
Josh was on everyone's best of 2007 list. I bought his latest album and he is an original for sure. I also like the irish connection, but I have not crossed over into true fandom yet. Maybe it will happen, maybe he will remain like Dave Matthews for me, a phenomenom for sure, but not one i can truly understand. I keep waiting for Vega4, another new band with irish connections to make it big. Good luck to Josh and his fans.
I just found out about Josh so far everything that I've heard has been great. I think his live stuff is his best work. He just seems to be having to much fun on stage.Keep it up Josh.
you cant hear him singing live, cause everyone everywhere joins him for his songs.... this feels hollow. brilliant for a single, but where's the atmosphere? hard to believe it's live. i've seen him 2ce in galway and belfast. and the place was eletric! would love to see him in dublin......
Favorite song of mine. As far as the song 'wolves' during his stay in Maine, Josh has been singing about 'wolves' as far as back the song, 'Harrisburg'. Nothing new. When a wolf is lost, the pack howls to bring them together. I think this song is about losing somebody and looking back at the hard times (cold nights) that fell apart, etc.
Don't quote me on this but I think the Wolves thing is about the place he recorded the album. though from Idaho, i'm pretty sure he recorded it in a log-cabin style studio in a remote part of Maine... wolf country..
What's stopping this video from having more views? And that's not a rhetorical question.

Everything about this performance is perfect, a fantastic original song, great melody and lyrics.
Add in the great vocals, drumming, keyboards and bass and the result is perfection, I never get tired of listening to this!
