Your mentality is so fucked. Move to a third world country and live there for a year. I'd take your arguments a little more seriously then. Also, I'd have some very pointed questions to ask about why you came back to this racist police state.
Tell me then, is there any particular reason 2 million Central Americans sneak into this country every year? Is it really that they want to live in a fascist police state? I think it might be something else.
Did the police and the republicans really win???? Not in November. I was celebrating in the streets of Minneapolis when Obama won with many others. The police came and they looked pissed not merely to the fact there were massive amounts of people but due to the fact that you could see in their eyes that they lost their election.
You all were obviously doing something wrong and illegal by blocking traffic and being part of an illegal march but not having a permit. YOU WERE ALL BREAKING THE LAW. IDIOTS
I was there as well. I can back up the assertion that the tear gas and flash bangs were deployed with no warning against a completely peaceful crowd.
At one point, myself and a few others found ourselves walking apart from the larger group back down Marion Street. We saw a cop about 15-20 feet to our left and in response held up our hands a little bit with palms out, to show him we were unarmed and not hostile. His response? Fired a flashbang straight at us.
I was there, and in spite of the obvious civil disobedience we were given no warning that "crowd control tactics" were going to be used. Up until that point we hadn't heard anything from the police since 5 pm -3 hours before.
The gas cannons, M84s and percussion grenades were being fired directly into the crowd not over our heads, and in some cases hitting people. The crowd was 20 to 30 feet from the line of officers when the firing began.
The mistake the protesters made was thinking that the police were trying to disperse them. In reality, the police were trying to corral them. I'm actually surprised this camera person made it out, considering their vantage point - most of the other press on the scene were taken to jail.
