  • everyone knows electronic drop it's price every 3months, I'll just come back a few years later. thank you.

  • no head... YOUR DEAD! ride a bike?? get a helmet

  • 6 miles?? shit, i have to go 14 every day, i'm sticking to diesel mini bikes

  • way too expensive and it is crazy looking....makes you look like an idiot

  • The annoying thing would be everybody looking at you.

    :(

  • im gonna get me one of those

  • A little expensive, but cool. I currently use an elektroskate skateboard it's small, lithium powered and light, goes 25mph and good for 20 miles. I use it every day to and from the train.

  • 6 miles is probally the biggest down size

  • With that kind of price, I can build a better bike faster and last longer!!!

  • as for price big deal there are ordinary 10 speeds that cost as much

  • teehee everyone commenting on 6 miles when everyone should now by now that electronic devices tend to progress, y know 6 miles today 60 tomorrow

  • One more thing I can haul two average shopping carts size of groceries with my bike trailer. Only one bad thing about my bike I can't fold it and take it on a choochoo.

  • YIKES! $4000 to $5000 clams and 6 miles? Not for me! Mine can go up to 30mph and up to 40+ on a charge and cost a lot less.

  • what bike do you have ?

  • Crystalyte 5304 rear, Ping lifepo4 30a 48v and Infineon 30a 48v controller and Specialized Hard Rock bike. The battery is mounted in a Bikes At Work trailer do to weight.

  • But you can't fold it up and carry it.

  • I'll give you a thumbs up for this one!

  • I'm going to get a much cheeper bicycle that can go a lot longer then 6 miles.

  • Truly an ode to human imagination!

  • Only 6 miles?! If your journey is 4 miles to work and 4 back it won't be worth it. You would have to live in a very small city. I believe this should be marketed in Japan or China.

  • What about down- or uphill, bridges? Looks dangerous to me.

  • A bike that propels itself? Kinda like buying a guitar that plays itself... What's the point?

  • ...it's an electric bike

  • Dear swearing.,

When making a comment it is easy to show over subjectivity.

    .

This device is probably most likely for the physically disabled individual and the fellow with reduced mobility or degeneratibe disease.

    .

Such products are not marketed as such because to do so would offend the disabled in the first instance.

    Cheers.

    from,

    del-boy.

  • Would have had potential but 5k price is going to kill this can you say segway? I'd love to see someone go off a curb or down a San Francisco hill or pothole in this.

  • You can't take a segway on the tube or store it under your desk at work. Large wheel at the front will handle potholes ever ridden a trail bike? The bigger the front wheel the easier it handles over ruff stuff.

  • good for people who can't walk.

  • I think I'll just buy a really nice folding bike and get a motor kit for it. It would be 1/4 the price and a lot more rugged and just as light.

  • it cost 5K !!!

    way tooooooo much expensive.

    battery - 50$

    electro motor - 350$

    wheel - 4600$????

  • Its frame is made from carbon fiber. You also have to think about development costs and the pay for the employees.

  • Impressing the chick at 0:05 is worth at least $2000

  • Few people working a lot on it for develope 4600$....

  • Also few people can affort to buy a BIKE for 5000$.

  • @ahagadol

$50 for a battery? Where do you shop for top line Lithium Ion batteries, because I want what you're buying. The main cost of this is the carbon fiber chassis, which is why it's so light. Make it out of cheaper metal and the cost will plummet, but you'll have to really have strong arms to heft it onto the train/bus/whatever.

  • I want one. I wonder where I can sign up to buy it.

  • Nice but very expensive ...

Something like 200 US probably works

  • 200 us is not even worth a cell phone.

  • Calculators were once $400.

It'll get cheaper and competition will further reduce the price, like all other technology in history.

  • wtf, just get off your fat ass and walk.

  • or ride an actual bike. 9km=6miles. 6 miles can easily be done on a bike within 20-45 minutes.

  • The price puts it beyond ridiculous.

  • To expensive, to ugly

  • uh the design is fugly its way too expensive and what do ya do when it rains? we'd be better off going back to horses and carrages.

  • where you gonna stable your horse punk

  • i'd tie the reins to the bike racks that these would of been tied to XD

  • just get brompton folding bike its much cheaper

  • a motorized Razor like they came out with 10 years ago is cheaper and more efficient than this invention not to mention smaller

  • make it smaller!

  • i want one lol

  • Incredibly expensive. I would like to ride one.For that price I'll pass.

  • Sucks you couldn't make it a pedal bike (due to the fact that it probably would be impossible)... it would've probably saved well over $2000 alone

  • thats cool but for that price ill take a used harley sportster

  • No thanks. I'll keep peddling my own traditional bike.

  • Well, I agree it's ecologically advantageous, socially responsible, and interesting in concept.

Beyond it's outrageous price though, how are the designers dealing with the problematic issue of having little kids giggle at you and scream "faaag!" as you roll by? I would kind of want that design issue addressed prior to any monetary commitment by myself.

  • ab folding bike........ time about it millions of bikes, it dangerous. lol pulled over for durnk biking~

  • drunk biking. lol

  • Pretty cool

  • Just punch the guy of the seat lol.Don't know why I said that just thought it was funny.

  • they should use sympowerco corp's flowing electrolyte direct methanol fuel cell you would never have to recharge and its super light weight google SYMW

  • i read about it but now seeing it naw... sorry hahaha cool stuff but might have to be perfected and price lowered a bit. cool invention tho.

  • I would like one for school

  • I think it has potential. It's compact design and apparent light weight, and recharge time are attractive. At half the quoted price, I bet you couldn't keep them on the shelves. I remember when VCRs and DVD players were$500.00 too.

  • cool

  • "they see me roll on, my segway

I know in my heart they think i'm white and nerdy" heheehe

  • looks to be unsafe...can you say header?

  • lol 4500 to 5500

    hahahahah

yes I am sure people will be lining up to buy this

when are these people going to learn. If its expensive its not going to catch on.
